A while ago, I mentioned in an article that I said goodbye to Taobao, a profession that I was once obsessed with. The website could not be idle, so I put Google Adsense on it.
I have no experience working on Google before, but I often see others discussing how much the Google click-through rate should be controlled. When it reaches 2 or 3%, many friends are worried about being K-numbered. Therefore, I was deeply impressed by Google's click-through rate.
I started to remove all links to Alibaba’s Taobao customers last week. I added Google’s large rectangular advertising space on the inner pages of articles, added skyscrapers on the sides, and then added link units under each article. Since there are many keywords about Taobao in Google Adsense, the matching is very good. The units displayed below are basically "Taobao clothing" and "Taobao bags", which are in line with the needs of visitors.
Since when I was a Taobao customer, I only added Google ads to the top banner at the beginning, and the click-through rate was extremely low. This may be because Taobao ads are more attractive in terms of color and matching, so no one clicked on the Google ads. Later, after the Taobao link was removed, the click-through rate soared to between 8% and 10%. I was quite upset. I asked Brother Tuwang for advice. Tuwang said it was a little higher and should be controlled. Later I told Tuwang that it was natural. Click, the picture king said that it should be fine; then he asked the "Wolf of the North" and other old webmasters who had worked on Taobao and Google, and they all said it was fine, so he felt relieved. Now For nearly ten days, the click-through rate has remained around 10%.
My website's pv is relatively low, 1000pv, 500ip per day. The traffic is high-quality traffic from search engines. There are new visitors every day, and there are very few repeat visitors. This may be one of the reasons for the high click-through rate. In addition, I found that most of the color pictures generated on the website were from "Fashion Uprising" and "Jishang.com", which are more attractive and more relevant to the visitors of my website. This should be one of the reasons for the high click-through rate.
I'm still a student, and I don't have high requirements for income. I can spend half an hour every day adding content and do other things without delaying my studies. My income of 2 dollars can basically meet my needs, although I don't have the income from Taobao. Suddenly it was a surprise to reach 50 or 60, but it also reduced the depression of being 0 for several days in a row. Google is still quite stable.
Today I saw that the world ranking has entered the beginning of 2, and I am very happy, even though it is 7 digits. In the eyes of others, this is just a garbage dump, but it can also be regarded as my first work. I have learned a lot. I hope that my road to Google will be smooth sailing.
I wish all webmaster friends can continue to move forward during the economic crisis and get a satisfactory income.
