On April 24, reporters learned from Xinwang Internet that the company will start cleaning up those domain names that have not been registered but have set up jump services starting from April 24. Industry insiders expressed frustration with the move, saying it would impact the domain name investment market.
Xinwang Internet stated that the company received a notice from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, requiring it to strictly investigate domain names that have not passed the registration process but have set up jump services. The company decided to close these domain names starting on April 24.
Xinnet Internet stated that only when the source domain name of the jump and the destination domain name of the jump have been registered, the forwarding service can be used normally. For example, if you want to set http://www.9wenxue.com to jump to http://www.9wenxue.com.cn, both domain names must be registered.
The relevant person in charge of the marketing department of Xinwang, another registrar, said that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology had indeed issued the document recently. However, as of press time, registrars such as Wanwang, Xinwang, and China Resources have not yet issued announcements.
Industry insiders believe that there is nothing wrong with domain name jump registration to crack down on illegal websites. If this regulation is implemented on a large scale, it will have an impact on investors who only have domain names and no space. (over)
