Google's Adsense advertising program is a popular advertising product. This product provides the best source of online advertising revenue for many websites. There are many articles about the use of Adsense. At the same time, Adsense also provides services for participating in this advertising program. A clear terms of service policy is formulated and everyone is required to strictly abide by it so that the Adsense account will not be removed from Google.
When I visit websites and forums, I find that I encounter some cases of Adsense abuse every day, so here are some tips for using Google Adsnese. You may already know some of them, or you may know very little. These are culled from Google Adsense’s program policies with some simplifications.
1. Do not click on your own Adsense ads for any reason. You should clearly understand this. This is the best way to close your Adsense account. So never tell your corporate associates or friends to click on an ad. If your family or children want to increase your income by helping you click on ads, this will indirectly cause you no income. What's more, you cannot set click rewards, use automatic click tools, or other software with click deception. Adsense is very good at detecting fraudulent clicks. If you really want to see the effect of the click page, please use the Google ad preview tool.
2. Never change the Adsense code. We have the means to optimize and customize Adsense colors to suit your background or border needs. Add your own code outside the ad code, and never modify it blindly inside the ad or search code. They will know what you have modified. Search codes have a lot of restrictions on colors and placement, but you must follow these rules. If the rules are violated, that code may stop working.
3. Do not place more than 3 ad units and 1 link unit or 2 search ad boxes on the web page. In any case, new advertising content will not appear when adding ad units. But these restrictions are required by them, so it is best to comply with the requirements.
4. Do not place similar matched text ads or search boxes that compete with Google Adsense on the same page. Don’t try to create a link structure similar to Adsense ads. Do not use other search tools on pages with Adsense search. However, they allow affiliate referrals and text-limited links.
5. Do not disclose confidential information about your account, such as CTR, CPM and income of individual ad units. However, you can disclose your most recent overall income.
6. The title tag of the advertisement can only be "Sponsored Links" or "Advertisement". No other tags are allowed. I have seen many websites whose advertising tags write other content, and this method should not be used to attract other people's attention.
7. Don’t set ad clicks to open new pages by default. Adsense ads should be opened on the same page. You may have used the "base target" tag to make all links open a new window or a certain frame by default. So go and modify the code now. They don't want ads in new windows. opened within.
8. Do not create multiple Adsense accounts. One account can be used on multiple websites, you don't need to create 5 accounts for 5 different websites, one account can do it all. If you are afraid that an account will be closed for violating the rules, then believe me, they will close all your associated accounts. You can use channels to track clicks with real-time statistics. They will automatically detect and display relevant ads on new websites.
9. Only place ads on pages with content. Advertisers only pay for content, and content drives relevant advertising. Although you will get some clicks from some error logins, registrations, thank you pages or welcome page content, etc., you will be kicked out of Adsense.
10. Don’t hide advertising elements. Changing ad colors and borders makes it easy to integrate ads into website pages. I've seen many websites set the ad address as the background color. While it's a good idea to integrate ads with your website, hiding related elements of ads is not allowed. Therefore, do not use floating images, pop-up windows, tables, etc. to block advertising content.
11. Do not send Adsense ads via email. Of course, HTML formatted emails can cause Adsense javascript ads to be displayed, but this is against program policies. You can't let advertising content show up in an email, even once, and they're watching.
12. Review your website content. Adsense does not allow ads to be placed on several content pages: MP3, video, newsgroups, image results and other content pages. Any pornographic, hateful and violent, or illegal content is also excluded.
13. Do not change the output results after an ad click or search. Make sure you don't alter in any way which website the user clicks on the ad. Do not use frames, minimizes, redirects, or other methods that may change the display of ads or search pages after a user clicks on them.
14. Avoid excessive advertising and keyword stuffing. Although this may be a special gray area and needs to be considered realistically, Google Adsense has now modified the way ads are displayed. As long as you pay attention to the content and increase traffic, you can get more income than other advertisers, so there is no need to put Too many ads. Keyword stuffing can make targeting ads more accurate, but should be done in moderation.
15. Make sure you support the language. Adsense supports "China (Simplified), Japanese, Denmark, South Korea, Netherlands, Norway, United Kingdom, Poland, Finland, Portugal, France, Russia, Germany, Spain, Hungary, Sweden, Italy and Turkey". In addition, Adsense search ads can support Czech and Chinese Traditional. If your web page does not support these languages, then do not use this type of code.
16. On each web page, in addition to the above-mentioned advertising units, search boxes, and link units, a similar recommendation button can be placed.
17. Don’t use Google ads as backup ads. A few services allow you to prevent backup ads when targeted ads cannot be displayed. This requires creating a simple HTML page and placing the ad code into it. Aadsense allows the use of this link to display other ads instead of displaying PSAs, but never uses Adsense ads as backup ads.
18. Do not place potentially misleading images next to ad units. This is a widely used method to increase click-through rates by adding images of the same type next to the ad text. This will give the impression that these images are related to the ad and lead to misleading or false ad clicks. Neither does inserting a separator or space next to images and text ads. You must arrange your ads in a way that does not easily mislead or confuse users of your site.
