What is Quality Score? Let’s see what Google says:
The AdWords system calculates a Quality Score for each keyword. It's a combination of factors that measure the relevance of keywords to ad text and user search queries. Therefore, a keyword's Quality Score is updated frequently and is closely related to the keyword's performance. Generally speaking, the higher the quality score, the higher the ranking of the ad triggered by the keyword, and the lower the cost per click.
The quality score of keywords affects the final click price of your keywords and the position of your ads, so we must find ways to improve the quality score of keywords. This is different from other PPC (Pay Per Click) such as Yahoo Search Marketing and MSN AdCenter.
Where to check Google Adwords keyword quality score?
To view your keyword Quality Score within your account statistics, follow these steps:
Log in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.cn.
Select a campaign, then select the ad group for which you want to view the keyword's Quality Score.
At the top of the Keywords tab of the ad group table, click Customize columns.
Select Show Quality Score from the drop-down menu.
Then, click Done.
You can also evaluate a keyword's Quality Score by viewing the Keyword Analysis page.
The Keyword Analysis page lets you learn more about your keyword's performance, including suggestions for improvements. To get to the Keyword Analysis page, first click the magnifying glass icon next to a keyword in your account, then click the "Details & Suggestions" link in the menu.
A keyword's first page bid is a good indicator of its overall Quality Score because the two are inversely related: the lower the keyword's bid, the higher its Quality Score.
Now let us take the keyword "Lenovo notebook" as an example to see what we can do to improve the Google Adwords quality score?
Part One: Google Adwords Account Factors
1. Classify keywords and combine related keywords into an ad group
The first tool among the 5 free PPC bidding tools I mentioned last time is Google Adwords Editor. Use Google Adwords Editor to organize 20 related keywords into an ad group. For example:
lenovo notebook
Lenovo laptop quotation
lenovo laptop price
Lenovo laptop official website
lenovo laptop s1
2. Create relevant ads for each ad group
Tips: Google Adwords Optimization Tips: Writing Advertising Slogans
For English ads, for example, the keyword "Blue Widgets"
Note that the first letter of each word must be capitalized (except for two-letter words), and keywords must appear in the title, advertising content, and display address.
PS: The displayed address is not necessarily the final target address.
3. Optimization and Split Test separation testing
We create 4 different ads for each ad group. Then modify the campaign settings to allow Google Adwords to display ads more evenly, and conduct a Split Test on the four ads.
After a week, we select the ads with the highest click-through and conversion rates and delete the others. Then readjust the remaining variables of the ad and test again.
4. Use multiple keyword matching forms
Many people start by using only one form of keyword matching - broad match. We add phrase matching and exact matching to the keywords of each ad group to help improve the quality score of the keywords.
Part 2: Page Landing Page Factors
Not only the Google Adwords ad account settings are important, but the landing page factors are also important.
5. Link creation and SEO
We use high-converting keywords as link text (Anchor Text) to create a large number of backlinks. Not only can it help improve the keyword quality score, but it can also help improve the ranking of this keyword in the natural search results. And submit sitemaps to Google Admin Tools.
6. Keyword layout
Properly layout keywords on each landing page, focusing on keywords with high conversion rates.
7. Separate Split Test Landing Page
We set different variables to test the landing page and test the conversion rate. Google Analytic analysis can help us improve conversion rates.
8. Meta tag
We add the keywords with the best conversion rate to each Landing Page. I usually add some of the best keywords to the Meta Keyword tag, and put the best ads as the content of the Description tag.
9. Necessary website pages
Add the following pages to improve the trust of your website:
About UsAbout us
Privacy PolicyCopyrightPrivacy
Terms and ConditionsPrivacy Policy
Contact UsContact us
Resource authoritative website page
The website includes more than 100 original content pages
etc…
10. Verify how Google views your Landing Page and is it relevant?
We use Google's Keyword Tool - to find keywords based on your website content. Verify whether the Landing Page includes relevant keywords.
in conclusion:
If you want to reduce your Google Adwords advertising investment costs while increasing sales revenue, you must improve your keyword quality scores and optimize your Google Adwords campaigns.
