Wonka, the prequel film to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory starring Timothée Chalamet, has released a trailer. The character of Wonka appears in Roald Dahl's famous novels Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. The former was adapted into two version of the movie (2005 and 1971 versions), and this prequel will be an original story.
Focusing on the adventures of young Wonka before the opening of the world's most famous chocolate factory, there will be song and dance elements. Directed by Paul King (Paddington Bear), it will be released in North America on December 15. The lineup also includes actress Olivia Colman, Sally Hawkins, Mr. Bean, Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Grant, etc.
