With the opening of the "Burning Crusade" classic server in World of Warcraft, players' various professional skills have also moved from the original advanced level to the master level. Compared with professional skills, life skills are often more difficult to attract players' attention. But in the adventure of the classic server, life skills (fishing, cooking, first aid) are essential skills that every hardcore player should have.
Today’s article will let us take a look at TBC’s life skills and see what key points are worth exploring.
After entering the Outland, the first thing players can learn is master-level cooking skills. The Alliance bought books in Fort Glory while the Horde was in Salma, which is the first camp base we arrived at.
After you learn master-level cooking, you can go to Shattrath City to receive daily cooking tasks. The rewards include many types of recipes, the most famous of which is "delicious chocolate cake". Although there is no actual eating BUFF, there will be special fireworks effects when eating the cooking, which made the players back then feel quite novel... I have to say that the players back then were really simple~
And the second life skill we can learn is master first aid. The Alliance can purchase the Master First Aid Skill Book at the "Temple of Tahamat" in Hellfire Peninsula, while the Horde can purchase it at "Falcon Outpost" on the same map.
The new additions to Master First Aid are the two manufacturing items of Netherweave Cloth Bandage and Thick Netherweave Cloth Bandage. There is basically nothing to say about it. For players who are keen on PVP, the new bandages are a must-learn and practice item. For pure PVE players, if your profession does not heal, then these early versions of bandages are still quite useful.
After heading west from Hellfire Peninsula into Zangarmarsh, players can purchase a master-level fishing skill book at Cenarion Sanctuary. The new fishing routine in the TBC version also greatly enhances the value of this life skill. Beside a small lake outside the main city of Shattrath in Outland, players can meet the NPC who performs daily fishing tasks. This NPC provides a total of five types of daily tasks, namely:
Crocodile in the City: You are required to go to Stormwind City or Orgrimmar to catch the baby crocodile.
Blackscale Darter: Players are required to catch a certain number of Blackscale Darters in the rivers of Terokkar Forest.
Giant freshwater shrimp: Players are required to catch 10 giant freshwater shrimps in Zangarmarsh.
Demon Blood Snapper: Players are required to catch Demon Blood Snapper in the demonized pool water (the green water) in Shadowmoon Valley.
The largest fish in the world: Players are required to catch the task fish in Tiange Lake or Riquan Lake in Nagrand.
The greatest value of daily fishing is the chance of finding blue-quality baby crocodiles. After all, small pets back then were not as prevalent as they are in official servers today, and baby crocodiles were still very attractive to veteran players.
The above is an introduction to the life skills in the TBC Classic Server. Although players in the official server have gradually become accustomed to not deliberately learning life skills, in those early versions of the game, life skills are still quite easy to use.
