I have been wandering around the Internet, and at the best time I was invited by a website to be a "columnist" and recommended as a key target. At the peak of that time, I joined about 100 groups. At that time, some netizens joked: NetEase pig, you are really haunting and you are everywhere. At that time, about 60 webmaster groups, 20 IT groups, and more than a dozen domain name groups were added. Moreover, I am an active member of every group, and the time I spend in the group is longer than the time I work. Now that there are only 20 groups left, I feel like I have more time.
People often ask me: What website do you have? I shyly tell everyone that there will be one in the future. In fact, I had three small websites at that time, all of which were very special and creative websites. I invested in one with a good domain name. I was very relaxed from beginning to end, but later failed to take back the domain name. There was a website that seemed to be doing well at that time. It was transferred from space to independent hosting and planned to grow and expand. I also had tens of thousands of IP addresses. I thought that one day I could show off that I was the webmaster of ***, and attract countless envious eyes. , but the good times did not last long and it was finally closed.
After going through these three small websites, I lost some money, and the lesson I learned is that I will never build a creative website again. Maybe someone will refute me: That's because you are not lucky. I have a great idea. When I have the opportunity in the future, it will be great once it goes online. What is creativity in a website? It means that others don’t have it like you, but I directly think it is novelty. When everyone’s sense of curiosity is gone, the website will gradually fade out of the market. None of us know how to run a website. We all have the same hobbies and think of ourselves as aloof, so we set up too many things that didn’t work like this or that, and were eventually abandoned by the market.
In 2009, I made a wish on my Sina blog: 2009 will be the year I build a website. After returning home for the Chinese New Year and working, I wanted to make a website. Looking at the dozen domain names in my account, I was in a daze. This one can be used as a joke network, this one can be used as a game network, and this one can be used as a navigation network. Undecided, I posted a post on a forum and asked everyone to vote for me. In the end, www.163z.com was recognized by everyone because everyone knows 163, and my domain name only has one more letter Z than 163. When people mention 163, they think of email, online games, and news. I don’t understand online games at all, and I’m not qualified to do email, so I choose the news I like. This domain name is probably one of the few that I have invested in correctly! After deciding what I wanted to do, I found a few friends I met online, hoping to help me update the content, and they all agreed. Unfortunately, none of us are technical. No one knows how to build a website.
I already have a domain name and space, and I just want to find someone to help me upload the program for free. I posted in many groups, but no one was willing to help me. Later, a netizen named "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" helped me upload and install it, and then I just started working on it myself. I know how to install themes and plug-ins, and it's very simple. But it was difficult for me to change the theme to one with my information, and I met someone named Xing Lingdan who was willing to help me. I remember that I changed the theme in the first 7 days of building the website, and basically didn’t post any content. (Afterword: It’s been 4 months now. In the first 3 months, the basic website title has been changed more than 20 times. I’m glad it hasn’t been deleted by search engines because I don’t understand SEO at all. I use the title of my blog as my QQ signature. , I changed it almost every day until an SEOER told me that this was not good, so I didn’t change the homepage frequently.)
After changing several themes for the website, I settled on a 2-column one, and now I wanted to find links. (This is about the history of the domain name: when the last person used this domain name, it was used as a malicious website, but it was not renewed. After the registration in 2008, there was no website. I bought it after the Spring Festival. After I bought it I was surprised to find that it came with PR1. After checking the reverse connection, I found that this domain name had been used as a malicious website. It was a mixed blessing at the time.) When making friendly links, of course you must start with friendship + loving people. I would like to thank a few people. Xiaoxiaosheng, Chen Cangling, New Starting Point, Li Dianxin, Duan Fei, Little Things Yiluoluo, Hongyi, Laomao, etc. didn't mind just doing it and gave me links immediately. Although this was a small step, it had a great impact on me. Later, I became so arrogant that I personally exchanged links with some PR4 people I didn’t know. Exchanged links with me. If they didn't give me a link, I believe it would be difficult to find a PR1 link, because my site doesn't have many new entries.
It has been almost 4 months since the 163 website was established. It took me a month to go from 100IP to 300IP. After reaching 300IP, the website still had no breakthrough after 2 months of operation. After the third month, it may have achieved ranking after Google sandboxing, and the IP suddenly It jumped to around 2,000. After the third month, I positioned the website as fun and interesting + the hottest news. I paid attention to Baidu Trending List and Google Hot List, and the daily IP exceeded 2,200. There are 200 people entering automatically every day. The traffic has remained around 2,200 for 15 days, with the highest IP exceeding 3,300 on June 8. The website title has been modified countless times and finally the snapshot is no longer updated. Many of the friendly links are PR4. The happiest thing is that I have made links to websites in the same category. Now I basically don’t need to take care of it, and I don’t need to promote it everywhere. Now I am satisfied.
I use the Z-BLOG blog system. I am now concentrating on content creation, and I will leave the rest to a good friend to help me manage it. I am very grateful to him. The following summarizes my experience in building a website:
1. After Baidu has included the first page, don’t worry. As long as you maintain the quality of content updates and link exchanges, Baidu will gradually include more pages after one month. It is best to make a website map and submit it to Baidu and Google. I found that Google updates me the fastest.
2. When using Z-BLOG, it is recommended to delete unnecessary themes. I have installed 3 themes, but Baidu always returns to the first page where I was included. For example, I was included on 2.20, and it was 3.1 all of a sudden. , suddenly it was 2.20, then it was 3.5, and then it became 2.20. But one page always gets included. I asked a few people why, and some people said they were observing and so on. On March 6th, I was determined to delete the two themes that I had modified but were useless. I thought that this way spiders would not be able to find the old stuff. I checked on the morning of 3.7 and found that the snapshot was from 3.7. After deletion, there was no snapshot rollback.
3. Keywords should be as close as possible to your own domain name, so as to achieve good rankings. (After achieving a good ranking, it is recommended not to change the title on the Internet. I changed the title many times and it was not K, but all the keywords were gone in a short period of time, and some keywords came back recently. I once changed "163" Baidu ranks 10th and "News" ranks 35th. In fact, I don't know SEO at all. If you persist for a long time, you can get a good ranking. The website relies on long-tail keywords, and you don't have to worry about IP if you do it well).
4. It is best to find someone you are familiar with first to create a friendly link. After you have made a few good links, you can then find someone to change the links, which will more or less add a lot of points. For those who have more PRs and inclusions than you, be thicker-skinned and more sincere, but don’t stalk them. You still need self-respect and don’t look down on them.
5. The content should be constantly updated. Original content is better. If it is useless, at least change the paragraphs and titles. I set about 5 tags. I found that if the tags are well done, it is no problem to bring thousands of IPs. I will practice more when I have time.
6. Baidu values friendly links more than Google. This is what I have experienced. Originally I had more than 40 links, but some time ago I strictly blocked a few links, and I deleted them without paying any attention. Since the snapshot is on May 20th, SEO Yuanchuang told me that the solution is to add more friendly links and post soft articles. I found 4 relatively excellent websites and exchanged links. The next day I found that Baidu had thousands of IPs. The weight seemed to have increased but the homepage was still not updated. Google may have discovered that after I added a friendly connection every day, it observed 163 sites. Before adding a connection, Google's daily incoming IP dropped from 1,000 to 300, and it recovered after about 5 days.
7. In my eyes, SEO is actually nothing. I have never paid to learn SEO. Maybe paid SEO is really amazing. If you collect 100 articles every day, and I only publish 5 manually edited articles, these 5 articles will be different from others. I believe my ranking is better than yours. SEO is not a technology that gets something for nothing, but allows you to build a good website in a standardized way. As long as you add more good links and write more original articles and send them to the website, you can succeed without learning SEO.
8. Don’t think that youth is your capital. It can stretch your physical and mental energy without limit. Proper sleep is very important. Not everyone can do those awesome people who only sleep 3 or 4 hours a day (Dai Zhikang, Kai-Fu Lee, etc.). We must not only manage the website reasonably, but also learn to manage ourselves reasonably. If your website really ranks among the top 100 in China one day, but your life span is shortened by 20 years, you will be broke and want to exchange money for your life. Unfortunately, you will be too late and end up dying young. There are many such examples, you can search online.
9. When building a website, you can offend Baidu and Google, but the worst result is that you will be attacked. But if you offend our country's laws, you will be imprisoned and sentenced to ten or eight years, and your youth will be gone. Once I posted a news about Deng Yujiao, I was given a small punishment by the internet supervisor who worked tirelessly to serve the people and was detained for about 4 hours. What can I post and what can I write? I have gradually gained experience: I should slow down everything about politics, riots, and officials first, and then check whether the news is true? If it is true, it is not too late to post. I would rather slander celebrities and slander the people than talk nonsense about politics. :)
I’ve almost finished writing this. I’m not very skilled and I’ve poured out all the ink in my stomach. I hope I won’t be slapped again. I would like to express my special thanks to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Green Dam Software, Internet Monitoring, 360.cn, and Minghao Data for their strong support of my blog. Thanks to you, I know how to build a website correctly.
