Local forums began to emerge in 2007, and so far there have been many successful cases. When I started a local forum last year, I saw that many other local forums were doing very well, so I decided to insist on making a local forum. What I do is Changsha Forum, but the name is not called Changsha Forum because Changsha Forum does a lot. To make it easier to remember, I named it Changsha Starry Sky Community. It has been a year since we did this, and there have been many twists and turns during this period, but we have persisted and will continue on well.
I'll just write down some thoughts today, hoping it can be of some help. There are many local forums now, but there are really only one or two in each place. Everyone wants to be the best, but how can we do the best?
1. I won’t talk about domain name space programs and the like. I don’t need to say more, everyone knows it.
2. Persistence is victory. Everyone knows this, but we don’t know how long it will last. Let me talk about it here. It usually takes at least 2 to 3 years for a local forum to be successful. This is a very conservative figure.
3. Content is king. We all have to work hard on this, and we must definitely pay attention to the content, because what you want to develop in the long run is not those junk websites.
4. Management team. This is also very difficult to do at the beginning. A good management team is difficult to buy with money. You must understand this well. Once you become more popular, others will rush to become moderators.
5. SEO optimization. I don’t quite understand this, but now Baidu searches for multiple keywords such as Changsha Forum, and Changsha Starry Sky Community ranks first. But be careful not to be too deliberate in your optimization.
6. Profit is the last word. In the final analysis, building a website is all about that stuff, and this is also the most difficult. You see, there are many websites with high traffic that write cheap affiliate ads in order to survive. It makes you sad to see them. It is annoying to have no traffic, and even more annoying to make no money with traffic.
Summary: I have been working on the Changsha Starry Sky Community for a year now, and I have always wanted to write something. I wrote it today. In fact, everyone knows what I said, but how many of them have actually done it? Everyone asks themselves Have you accomplished the above points?...
