The new version of Dragon King will soon be launched in the national server with version 13.3. After the Dragon King has been redone, its skills and positioning have been completely new, and it is no longer exclusive to the unpopular unique skills. Today, we will provide summoners with an analysis of the new version of Dragon King from various aspects such as skills, equipment and gameplay, to help everyone get started with Dragon King as soon as possible after the version update.
Skill analysis
Passive [Star Sea Renewal] is the core skill of Dragon King. Simply put, it is similar to Syndra's passive. The skill can be strengthened through the number of skill stacks and the accumulation of layers. After the Q is strengthened, the damage is higher, the W is strengthened and the distance is further, the E skill is strengthened, the range is wider and the kill is higher, and the R is strengthened to also increase the range.
Q skill [Star Sea Renewal], a linear damage skill, sprays to the first enemy to cause damage while splashing other surrounding enemies. It can cause extra damage once every second. If the extra damage hits the hero, it will stack a passive layer. There is no CD after the Q skill points are full, and it is the main output skill of Dragon King.
W skill [Star Flowing Beauty], a modified version of the old Dragon King E, is designed to fly forward in one direction. Skills can be released during flight, which can also increase the damage of Q. Participating in kills will return W's CD. Compared with the displacement support of the boss Dragon King, the current W is only used to adjust the movement output.
The E skill [Starlight Convergence] summons a black hole, pulling the enemy into the middle and killing the remaining health. Similar to Riel's ultimate move, it does not count as displacement. Black holes can provide passive layers if a hero is trapped or if a hero dies within range.
R skill [Starfall/Skyfall] releases a circular AOE, stunning the enemy in the center. If 75 layers of passive are collected, the stun will become knocked up, with a slowing shock wave attached.
Rune item
runes
Enlightenment & Sorcery, Shard 2 Adaptive, 1 Magic Resistance
This set of runes is purely a way of accelerating the development of the Dragon King in the later stages. The Dragon King's AOE can easily earn a wave of money, and a single big move in a team battle may earn hundreds of dollars. As long as you can get a three-piece suit, Dragon King can easily take over the game.
Sorcery & Domination system, fragment 2 adaptive, 1 magic resistance
This set of runes is geared toward laning. Both Q and E can trigger the comet effect, and the scorch grinding effect is very strong. Because the skill can reduce the comet CD, it can create a double burst of infinite Q and infinite comet. Transcendence and Ultimate Hunter allow the Dragon King to use skills frequently, allowing the Dragon King's strong period to come earlier.
Outfit
Dolan Ring or Tears go out, first make the time, and then the archangel. Although the Dragon King is not a Fatan, he is a Turret Mage, and he is bulkier and lacks mana. The two pieces of equipment, Archangel and Time, are very powerful in themselves and can also improve the Dragon King's survivability. The third item can produce an ice staff, which is very powerful for slowing down and controlling the field. Dragon King's AOE multi-skills also have proportional damage, and they don't lack magic penetration or damage. The last two pieces are the hourglass and hat, which are more conventional in terms of appearance.
Gameplay positioning
Obviously, the new version of Dragon King is a brush mage. As long as it can be successfully developed, it will almost destroy the world. In the later stage, one RE can absorb the residual health of the crispy skin. After reaching full level, Q's output distance of up to 920 ensures that there will always be a safe output position. The W skill can be used to enter the field, spraying a full Q to directly retain all health.
As a hero who needs to develop, the first thing to ensure during the laning phase is to replenish troops and ensure your own safety. Because the E skill has a slashing effect, the Dragon King is now very stable in replenishing troops. When Q destroys the minions, it will automatically replenish the tail with E. If you push the line, you will hide under the tower, or look for opportunities to gank. Note that the efficiency of the new version of Dragon King GANK has been reduced a lot. W is generally used to penetrate the wall and break the back. Don't play 2v2 with GANK, Dragon King is very weak in 2v2 combat. If you are not sure, don't enter the river casually. If you are caught by the opponent's jungler, it will easily turn into a blow. In the mid-term, just follow your teammates to gain passive skills, and use Q and E to gain stacks. Once the ultimate move is upgraded, the Dragon King's combat effectiveness will be qualitatively improved with certain equipment.
In a team battle, find a position to WQ, or use E first to connect to R and place the opponent in E to connect to Q. Except for tanks with high magic resistance, other heroes cannot withstand this set of bursts from the Dragon King. The E skill can even use the remaining health in seconds, and the W can be refreshed in seconds and the Q can be found. The new version of Dragon King does not have any particularly complicated mechanism. The key point of operation is to fly W appropriately to ensure the hit rate of the skill.
Heroic Restraint
Heroes with multiple levels can restrain the Dragon King very well, because once the Dragon King has no way to counterattack. E and W are not life-saving skills. If you use the ultimate move, the threat of Dragon King team battle will be greatly reduced.
Xiaoyuren and Jie are heroes that are very targeted at the Dragon King. In the early stage, they can even face the damage of Q and exchange blood with the Dragon King directly. The high-value explosion prevents the Dragon King from entering the field and is the best choice to restrain the Dragon King. Therefore, if you want to play Dragon King, you must ban Jie or Xiaoyuren. If your opponent chooses Dragon King, then choose Xiaoyuren and Jie to punish them.
Summarize
The new version of Dragon King is a standard traditional mage. It trades weak combat power in the early stage for powerful output in the middle and late stages.
