Hello everyone, I am the accountant "OV Talking Game" who calculates better than anyone else every day and loses more miserably than anyone else. Gravedigger is my favorite hero to play in Super Smash Bros., because his appearance rate is so low. In the Chinese server, it is only "1.39", ranking seventh from the bottom. So many people don't know how to deal with him, and he can often defeat the opponent. In a state of complete confusion, haha!
Soul Shepherd-Yorick's winning rate in the Chinese server is ranked "fifth". Logically speaking, a hero with such a high winning rate should be "very strong and fun", but why is his appearance rate so low? Woolen cloth?
First, many players "can't play" Yorick at all. In addition, he has very few opportunities to show his face on the court and in live broadcasts. He is one of those heroes with extremely low popularity. Therefore, many players in Super Smash Bros. randomly roll the dice to replace Yorick, or simply die. Secondly, a small number of players who know some about Yorick still think that he is a "melee combatant" in concept. Compared to a ranged hero who can do damage for free in a big brawl, a melee hero is naturally not that popular, let alone a hero like Yorick whose melee output is not very powerful.
In fact, in the final analysis, it just means "I can't play"! It is even because of his inability to play this that Yorick has to lose many games in the few opportunities to play, otherwise his winning rate will only be higher.
Gravedigger is essentially a "very versatile" hero in the Brawl mode. Let me give you a brief overview:
It can poke, and the long-range poke damage dealt by Gravedigger's "E+ Passive" is "very high" among all Brawl heroes. Moreover, Gravedigger's poke still has AD damage, and the damage dealt by a mythical outfit can often be eliminated. The crispy skin has nearly half health; with control, the W skill "Dark Spirit Haunting" is a very useful control skill, especially in team battles. It is especially easy to control the enemy and can be used for both first and backhand! He is still "half-meat", able to resist and fight. Regardless of the equipment or the attributes of the hero itself, the formed Yorick can resist and attack heroes. He will not be easily killed, but he can also deal higher damage with skills and equipment; there are also "summons" ! The "Mist Maiden" summoned by Yorick's R skill is one of the most powerful summons in the entire LOL. It not only does great damage, but also has a strong ability to bear injuries. The level 3 ultimate move only has a basic health value. Just as high as 3000;
Essentially, the core reason why many players can't play this hero well is because they "can't play poke". They can only treat him as a half-meat, and then use snowballs to ride on the face. Yorick like this will naturally be incompetent in a big brawl. Can’t harvest victory and happiness!
Players who know how to use Gravedigger can completely dominate the game by using the "E+ Passive" double combo, because the damage of this combo is "too high"! The damage mechanism of this combo is as follows:
The E skill itself deals 15% of the current health as magic damage ; the Fog Walker damage, because after the E skill hits an enemy, it will immediately summon the Fog Walker from the surrounding graves and fly to the enemy to attack. The attack power of each fogwalker also enjoys a 25% bonus from Yorick himself. Generally, in the middle of the game, each fogwalker can have more than 100 attack power. Moreover, after the enemy is marked by the E skill, the damage of the first 8 attacks of the Mist Walker will be increased by 40%.
This mechanism seems very simple, it seems that all it takes is "the E skill is thrown accurately". In fact, this is not the case, because the core of this combo is "how many Fog Walkers can fly over when E hits". Because Yorick can control up to 4 Fog Walkers, it is necessary to ensure that there are at least 2 Fog Walkers in the early and mid-term to match the damage hit by the E skill in order to achieve the high damage effect of the Gravedigger Poke.
Therefore, the core of the two consecutive pokes of digging graves is "accurate E + controlling the number of graves on the ground". Try to have at least 2 graves on the ground every time E is used, and preferably 4 to produce the highest poke damage.
There are two outfit ideas for digging graves and fighting in Brawl, one is the traditional half-meat outfit, and the other is the more fun "poke leak outfit". The former is relatively simple and crude, which is the three-piece set of "Divine Point + Bloody Hand + Invigoration", combined with precision runes, to engage in hand-to-hand combat with the enemy. I personally don’t think this set is very fun, and the actual winning rate is average. So here we mainly talk about the second type of poke outgoing item."
The core idea is to use "material flow", because Yorick's "E+Passive" two combos are physical damage, and Mist Walker can also enjoy the effect of armor penetration, which can maximize poke damage! Therefore, the core equipment is "Star Eclipse + Serelda + Black Cut", which allows Grave Digger to obtain the highest physical penetration and CD reduction effect, and can cooperate with poke to deal the highest damage in two consecutive rounds.
Star Eclipse, mainly because you don’t have to worry too much about the number of Mist Walkers, there are graves on the ground, and if E is hit, you can deal the percentage damage of Star Eclipse. Combined with the percentage damage of the E skill itself, it is very powerful for beating flesh and crispy skin; Black Che and Serelda, the order in which these two pieces of equipment are produced can be judged based on the actual combat situation. Serelda will be used first when the wind is going, and Black Cut will be used first when the wind is going against the wind. Black Cut combined with 4 Fog Walkers can instantly reduce the enemy's armor to the minimum, and Serelda can slow down the enemy, allowing the Fog Walkers to keep chasing A;
I prefer the runes that match this set of equipment to be "Witchcraft + Precision". The specific runes are as follows:
Mainly focus on skills such as "Double Recovery" and Transcendence. After all, this kind of gameplay is mainly to focus on the E skill, then stand in the back row and throw away skills. The gameplay is especially like "AP Big Tree", but the damage capability is higher than AP. The trees are taller and have stronger fighting ability in the later stage.
The hero Yorick is actually very fun. As long as you master the "E+passive" second combo and your teammates are not too aggressive or AFK, you can basically win by relying on this poke-style play style. Because his poke damage is too exaggerated! And as mentioned before, many players don't know how to deal with this hero at all. They don't understand Yorick's poke mechanism, so they don't know how to hide.
I sincerely recommend that friends who like to play Brawl can try this hero more often if they go to dig graves. Once the double combo effect is played, it will be much more fun than those long-range AD or long-range mage!
