This was our solution as part of the India Singapore Smart Hackathon 2018 finalist team.

Problem Statement

The University has many carparks and visitors will not know that a carpark is full and he/she can drive to a nearby carpark with vacant lots until he/she reaches the carpark. Solution Needed: A smart solution to monitor and provide visibility on the availability of vacant car park lots within the campus.

Our Solution

• Created a database on a Azure Postgres VM, optimised for postgres I/O.
• Created an end-to-end web application to guide visitors to the nearest carpark in the NTU campus
• Python script emulators created to simulate car park visitors.
• Enabled push notifications on web application by deploying service workers
