September 12, 2003: Version 1.0, the official should have stopped updating!
UseModWiki (Usenet Moderation Project (Usemod)) is a wiki engine developed by Clifford Adams. It uses Perl as the development programming language. Its biggest feature is that it does not use any database management system to store page content and any new pages. They are all stored directly in the file system. Wikipedia once used UseModWiki as the wiki engine for all language versions, and then developed MediaWiki as its existing interface.
Features:
It can be run with a single file. No extensions are needed. All variables are written directly in the program code. The page is directly stored in the file system. The link style of CamelCase is used. The display language can be modified through the comparison table.
