Extensible Markup Language (XML) is the most promising programming language for storing and transmitting information on the Internet today. Although Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is currently the most commonly used programming language for creating web pages, it has limitations in its ability to store information. In comparison, XML is more flexible and allows you to use any virtual type of information, from simple single data to complex databases (hence the name Extensible Markup Language). An XML document is usually linked to a style sheet or traditional HTML page, so the XML document can be easily displayed in a web browser. XML files store the information they contain in efficient structures and tags, so browsers can find, retrieve, sort, filter, arrange and process information in a more flexible way. XML provides an ideal solution to the problem of rapidly increasing website data volume and information complexity.
