Proxy Kafka didasarkan pada ide proxy SQL cloud. Ini memungkinkan layanan untuk terhubung ke broker kafka tanpa harus berurusan dengan otentikasi SASL/polos dan sertifikat SSL.
Ini bekerja dengan membuka soket TCP pada mesin lokal dan koneksi proksi ke broker Kafka yang terkait ketika soket digunakan.
