A mysterious new race of mechanical constructs, Autophagy, now await discovery in hidden locations across the galaxy.

Autophagy are tracked as their own factions in your journey milestones, with associated medals and quests.
Autophagy lurks in planetary sites on many worlds. Get the proper technology and your scanner will reveal their hidden camps.
Autophagy has its own unique language to learn, with hundreds of words to collect and catalog.
Increase your standing among these mechanical creatures to earn exclusive new player titles.
Travelers in good standing with the structure can take on a new set of procedurally generated tasks for each individual autophagy, earning reputation, new words, unique rewards, and more.
A large number of new Autophage customization options have been added. Earn Void Motes by assisting Autophage, and use these to unlock these new customization options in any constructed camp.
Autophage provides access to new procedurally generated ExoSuite technology.
In addition to robot parts, players will also gain access to new cloth-based customization options, including curtains, hoods, and visors. Once obtained, these can be mixed with any other custom settings, allowing for a wealth of new looks.
Once with enough status, travelers can earn and choose from a large number of parts and assemble their own custom Staff Multi-Tool.
Monolithic
Players already familiar with Autophagy can now discover secrets within the Korvax Monolith site.
Infusing these relics into Atlantis can lead to new stories and legends, revealing the history of Korvax and the architecture.
Additionally, a rare new Atlantid Multi-Tool category can be found on these sites, assembled in exchange for Nantes.
In addition to unique visuals and stats, these multi-tools also come with the Rune Lens, a fusion mining beam and cloaking device.
magic projector
A new basic widget, the Magic Projector, has been added. Study this section on the Space Anomaly.
This holographic device can be used to decorate your base with 3D projections of your favorite finds.
cloak
Players on Nintendo Switch can now equip the cape.
Swap players who would have earned a cape from a previous expedition have had their saves upgraded to reflect this and are already considered redeemable for their cape.
All players using the Vy'keen skin can now equip the cape.
Multi-tool unloading
Visit the spatial anomaly to use the new multi-tool salvage station.
Multi-tools can now be broken down into valuable scrap, freeing up slots to earn upgrades and other resources.
Quality of life and UI
An upgraded version of the Personal Refiner has been added, allowing research on space anomalies.
This advanced refining unit allows players to combine multiple substances on the move, unlocking mobile access to more complex recipes.
Several new refining recipes have been added, including Basalt and Runaway Mold.
The process for creating and assigning custom wonders has been improved for speed and clarity.
Planet-related wonders will now display the portal glyph in the planet details in the popup.
The camera frame for interacting with Vy'keen NPCs has been improved.
Nasopharyngeal carcinoma now shows greater variation in body shape and height.
The legibility of the Galaxy Map color blindness filter has been improved.
When the starship is stationary or moving backwards, readings are now provided in distance-based units instead of time-based units.
Pirates will no longer start strafing the player's position when the player is locked into an interaction.
When a mission advises players to use the galaxy map, they now use the galaxy map notification icon when the map is accessible.
Fixed an issue that prevented adaptive trigger support from working when using a DualSense controller on PC.
When joining another player with a brand new save, players now have the ability to fully customize their difficulty settings.

Players can now balance power modes in their starship; switch between balanced settings or prioritize weapons, shields or engine systems.
All capital ships now benefit from heavy-duty shielding systems, protecting them from potential pirates.
Added custom UI to better track their overall shields and hull integrity when engaging capital ships.
All capital ships are now fully destructible, providing an added bonus beyond simply removing their cargo bays.
Destroying the cargo hold will cause some damage to the main hull of the freighter.
Fixed an issue that could allow players to destroy small freighters without notifying other civilian fleets.
Fixed an issue that allowed recruitable frigates to contact players at inappropriate times, such as during landings or space battles.
Fixed an issue that caused starships to brake when flying close to freighters in space combat.

In space combat, your last resort weapon can never be damaged by incoming fire. Additionally, combat-based tech damage never leaves a starship with rockets as its only effective weapon.
outlaw faction
Outlaws are now listed as a faction alongside the various guilds as part of the journey and content pages.
Added a range of earnable medals for the Outlaw faction.
Outlaw medals and status will now come with a range of exclusive player titles.
Missions have been added to provide guidance for players looking to improve their standing among these pirates.
Raiding civilian fleets will now increase your standing among outlaws.
Rendering and performance
Nintendo Switch now supports a custom implementation of AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 technology, delivering high image quality and improved frame rates.
Added dynamic resolution scaling feature on Switch. This technology allows the game to maintain consistent frame rates across all scenes.
Support for focus rendering has been added when using PSVR2.
Utilizing eye-tracking technology, Focus Rendering focuses rendering resources at the center of your vision, sharpening and beautifying the details you care about.

pirate capital ship
The Pirate Dreadnought Capital Ship can now be encountered while exploring the galaxy, especially in Outlaw and High Conflict systems.
These massive ships prey on civilian fleets with a unique array of techniques. Defeat them to earn handsome bounties and lots of long-term benefits with local life forms.
The Dauntless besieges civilian cargo ships with huge thermal cannons and fires high-powered lasers from a distance. Destroying these cannons provided a way to protect vulnerable merchants.
If the civilian fleet is destroyed, bounty payouts will be significantly reduced.
The Intrepid is equipped with powered deflection shields to prevent damage to the hull from conventional starship weapons.
Fly beneath the Dreadnought Shields, entering their superstructure and targeting their Shield Generators, exposing their hulls and the fragile exposed fuel systems below.
Unique frigates form a supporting pirate battle group. Torpedoes deployed by these powerful vessels have the potential to wreak havoc on civilian fleets and must be intercepted as a priority.
Dealing enough damage to the Dreadnaught will force it to flee. Disabling its power warp engine will prevent escape and allow you to land a critical hit.
traveler adventure
A brand new expedition, "The Travelers", will begin shortly after the Echoes update is released.
Voyager Expeditions will see players search for the deepest oceans, highest mountains, most idyllic planets and strangest alien creatures, and more.
Rewards for this quest include a unique set of posters; an exclusive electric jetpack trail; a salvaged accessory for your biological companion; a new set of autophagy-related base parts; and an all-new mechanical companion.
Outlaws sworn in
A new type of outlaw frigate now accompanies the pirate capital's ships into battle.
Destroying these ships will greatly reduce the destruction output of the outlaw fleet, as they are responsible for launching devastating torpedoes at each other's capital ships.
Once their command ship is destroyed, many frigates will surrender and offer to join your own fleet.
Recruit these survivors as a powerful new class of battle frigate, ready to carry out missions from your own cargo ship.
