In the Windows XP system (with the system default settings), everything is normal when downloading movies using Xunlei or Express. However, when switching to Windows 7 system, Xunlei or Express will stop downloading. These users thought that Xunlei and Kuaiche were not compatible with Windows 7, or that Xunlei and Kuaiche were taking over the bandwidth, so they frequently disconnected.
After several days of testing, the author found that the situation reported by Windows 7 users does exist, but it does not reach "frequent" situations. At the same time, it is not Xunlei or Kuaiche that grabs the bandwidth. (Even if the bandwidth is grabbed, the manifestation is that the page opens slowly, rather than being disconnected.) In the process of searching for the cause of the problem, I think it is caused by the default settings of the power management of the network card in Windows 7 system.
In the Control Panel, right-click "Local Area Connection" and select "Properties" in the pop-up menu (Figure 1). At this time, the system will appear the "Local Area Connection Properties" dialog box, click the "Configure" button (Figure 2).

Subsequently, the system opens the network card properties window. In this new window, switch to the "Power Management" option and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" that is checked by default in Windows 7 (Figure 3).

After modification, save the settings and exit.
This article only proposes a solution for disconnection. It does not mean that disconnection under Windows 7 system is caused by the power management of the network card.
