For the webmaster community, this week has not been very peaceful. A series of bad events have deeply affected the webmaster community. First it was Baidu’s large-scale unprovoked K site, and then it was the large-scale shutdown and rectification of the computer room. Any incident is a big event. Although the small site was not greatly affected by these two incidents, it was still slightly involved. Some friendly links were blocked, which is undoubtedly a big loss for the growing website.
To be fair, China's Internet environment is not good. Today there will be one rectification, tomorrow there will be another rectification, and rectifications will come and go. The ones who suffer the most are the webmasters who work hard every day. Menstruation-style remediation is all but destroying an industry. Take IDC for example. In fact, one or two IDC servers have bad information, which affects the entire server, the entire computer room, and what’s more, it affects the whole country. How many websites are implicated! Maybe many webmasters say goodbye. In the circle, many efforts of webmasters have been wasted due to repeated rectifications. To be a webmaster in China, you really need a brave heart. Because the domestic IDC environment is very poor, smart webmasters have chosen foreign spaces. There is no need to register in foreign spaces. IDC is stable, not slow, and cheaper. I am not advertising for foreign spaces. Because of this kind of regulation, the money that Chinese people can obviously earn, why does it have to go abroad? There is definitely a lot of economic loss every year!
Back to the topic, after this period of hard work, Google now updates snapshots of part-time jobs every day, from 2,500 last week to nearly 300 this week. Last time we talked about Google’s search, judging from this week’s data, Baidu’s search volume has slowly surpassed Google’s, but Baidu’s snapshot only stayed on the 26th, and Baidu regularly included it once on Wednesday, each time including 10 -20 pieces of content. When Baidu updates the snapshot next Wednesday, it will be a snapshot 14 days ago. Serving Baidu is really not easy. I diligently update the website every day. For more than a month, Baidu still cannot update the snapshot every day. The snapshot of the homepage has drifted thousands of miles away. And Baidu's traffic is really much greater than that of Google. The same keywords are on the second page of Baidu than on the second page of Google. The search volume is a huge contrast! Use Google as a supplement and serve Baidu well. It seems that Chinese websites have a future.
Baidu's Fengchao was launched and K-listed many sites, even some good sites. Fortunately, the part-time website is still functioning normally. The Phoenix Nest Project has given us some inspirations:
1. The website must be updated every day to make Baidu think that you are serving customers, not search engines;
2. Don’t collect too much. You can completely copy other people’s content, but you can’t collect too much. You must have something original every day, even if it’s just one or two articles;
3. Don’t overdo SEO, content is king, and website visitors are God!
4. Your content should not be too sensitive. The purification of the domestic environment will cause your content to be easily blocked by search engines;
5. The instability of the space will do great harm to the new website. Choosing a good space is the first step in building a website;
6. Your customer base is oriented to China, so you must have a brave heart. In the circle of webmasters, there will always be countermeasures from above and policies from below.
