The "Gears of War" series is one of Microsoft's classic game IPs and has been loved by players since the Xbox 360 era. After 2013's Gears of War: Inquisition, the series went through a drastic change, with development moving from Epic to The Coalition. The studio has since launched two games in the series for Xbox One and PC, with its latest entry, Gears 5, now four years old.
"Gears of War 5" is produced using the Unreal Engine 4 and is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms. It continues the series' consistent passionate style and compact shooting experience.
In "Gears of War 5", the female character Kait Diaz is the protagonist, and the old character Marcus Fenix also appears throughout the game. In addition, semi-open world level design has been added to some areas of the game, allowing players to explore the game world and experience game content more freely.
Currently, "Gears of War 6" is under intensive development. The game will be produced using Epic's Unreal 5 engine. There is news that the 6th generation will be more open than "Gears of War 5".
