This tutorial mainly introduces how to draw a dazzling Batman logo. When making glow, you need to use a brush or other tools to create irregular graphic effects, and then apply filters. This way the light will be more obvious.
final effect
1. Create a new canvas and fill it with black. Create a new layer and use the shape tool to draw something similar to a bat. Of course, you can also use this example to create other object effects or make your website’s logo! The effect we drew is as follows. For the time being, we fill it with white and the layer name is bat:
2. To add light effects around the bat, use the pen tool again to draw some background that feels like a radiation effect behind the bat, and fill it with white. (This light layer is between the background layer and the bat layer.) Now you can change the color of the bat layer to black:
3. Add effects to the light layer, select Filter----Blur----Radial Blur, and adjust the amount according to your needs.
4. After blurring, we copy this layer, copy a new light layer, and perform a horizontal flip. The purpose of horizontal flipping is to make the light symmetrical from left to right (when drawing with a pen, there is always a deviation from left to right~). Then use the smudge tool to modify the light layer. Let the two light layers blend together nicely.
5. Duplicate the two light layers again and name them Copy 1 (the copied original light layer) and Copy 2 (copy the horizontally flipped light layer). Hold down Ctrl and click with the left mouse button to copy a layer to create a selection. Adjust the foreground color to #41b5ff and fill the selection with the foreground color (a duplicate layer becomes blue). Also copy the second layer and fill it with the foreground color. Now you have 4 light layers, 2 white and 2 blue. Now change the blending mode of the two blue light layers to Color Burn and see the following effect:
6. Duplicate the bat layer and fill it with blue #459ccb. Rasterize this layer after filling (because this layer has always been the "shape" drawn by the pen tool. If you first use the pen tool to draw a path and then fill the path with color, there is no need to rasterize it! ). Then hold down Ctrl, left-click the copied bat layer, click the Select menu----Modify-----Shrink, and shrink it by 10 pixels. Then delete this area (because your layer was copied, and there is a black original bat layer underneath. After deleting the selection, the black underneath will be revealed!).
7. Let’s start the more complicated beautification operation! First, we name the blue layer with the center deleted as the edge layer, and perform a radial blur with approximately the same amount as before. Duplicate this layer 4 times, so you now have 5 such layers, the first original edge layer is numbered 1, and the first duplicate is numbered 2. Add layer masks to all 5 layers. Change the foreground color to white and the background color to black (in fact, you only need to click the selection tool and press D on the keyboard!) Use the gradient tool and follow the direction and length of our arrow (the number is the number of the layer) Add gradients to the masks of these 5 edge layers. as follows:
8. Complete the effect. You can then use the smudge tool to beautify the surrounding area.
9. Add text and our Batman logo is ready!
