With the rapid development of technology, there are endless ways to promote websites.
Nowadays, many webmasters are trying to find ways to successfully include their website entries in encyclopedias (such as Baidu Encyclopedia, Interactive Encyclopedia, etc.). Firstly, they can increase external links. Secondly, they can increase the weight of the website. More importantly, they can be selected as entries. It can well improve the image of your website and gain the trust of netizens.
In actual operations, I often hear many webmasters report that it is difficult for their own website entries to be approved. Especially when adding the URL of their own website, the chance of passing is even smaller. The reasons for not passing are often "there are Suspicion of advertising."
Some time ago, I happened to help others make a few entries. Fortunately, they all passed. Here, I would like to share my experience with you.
1. The frame of the entry
When editing an entry, the title and content are very important and must be thought of in advance.
Take titles as an example. Encyclopedia entries usually include first-level titles and second-level titles. We usually only use first-level titles.
Our titles should be designed as concisely and hierarchically as possible. Take the Webmaster's Home as an example. Its first-level titles include website introduction, website status, special services, website slogan, subsidiary websites, website events, etc. This can give people the impression that the website has formal management, orderly planning, and development prospects. Good impression. When reviewing the manuscript, the encyclopedia editor will also feel that the person who created the entry is very careful and has made sufficient preparations, which invisibly increases the chance of passing the entry.
Try not to have only one first-level title, such as website introduction, etc. This will easily make people think that you are simply advertising your website.
The content under each title must be as detailed as possible, be relevant, and do not repeat each other. The content should be written as formally and grandly as possible! It should be explained from a certain perspective of one's own industry. For example, for a subject-based website, when describing the website's positioning, website building concepts, and development direction, it can be introduced from the perspective of curriculum reform. In addition, the content description should not contain a large number of expressions of strong personal emotions, and use superlatives such as "the most..." as little as possible.
In addition, the use of serial numbers and punctuation marks in the content must be standardized.
When you are not sure about the title or content of your own website entry, you can refer to and learn from the titles and content of similar websites to your own. You can imitate their framework and supplement your own content.
2. Reference materials
The reference part actually mainly provides links to your own website. The most important thing in this part is to ensure the relevance of the reference material. If the reference material has nothing to do with the URL provided, it will be regarded as an advertisement, causing the entry to be returned by the editor.
Reference materials mainly come in the form of terminology explanations, picture links, etc. Therefore, sufficient preparations must be made. For some noun explanations in the entry or some pictures to be used, you can publish this content on your website in advance, and try to avoid publishing with the same identity as the creator of the entry.
In addition to the reference materials used to create entries, you can also increase external links to your own website by editing some entries you know. Some time ago, I added pictures to a school entry I was familiar with. Of course, I uploaded the pictures on my website first, then edited the references for the entry, and it was approved.
3. Extended reading
It is usually difficult for a new website to add the URL of its own website in the extended reading, because doing so will often be returned as an advertisement by the editor.
In extended reading, you should be good at using big and old websites in your industry as cover, especially government websites or official websites in your industry. You can start by listing one or two of these large websites and then add your own URLs. When adding your own URL, try not to just list the home page URL, but list URLs with specific content. The form http://xxx.xxxx.xxx/about.html is better than simply http://xxx .xxxx.xxx is much easier to pass.
