The author recently came to work in a company that sells electronic components. The first thing I did when I first joined the company was to analyze the competitors and see if there were any good websites that I could use as a reference. But I feel quite disappointed, although some small and medium-sized enterprises are now paying more and more attention to online promotion. Many companies will start bidding on Baidu and Google, but the actual structure of the website itself is really rare. This will directly lead to the fact that even if a user clicks into your website from your advertisement, the opening speed is too slow or it is not easy to find the product the customer wants, which will directly cause the customer to close your website, thus greatly reducing your return on investment. After analyzing dozens of competitor websites, the author summarized the following 10 common problems in corporate website structure.
one. The header and footer of all pages are the same (common failure rate %50). According to my personal statistics, about half of the small and medium-sized enterprise websites have the same header and tail. The tail also doesn't matter much. At most, you have no friendly links or your friendly links are for the whole site. But if the header is the same, the website title, keywords, and descriptions are all the same, even if the search engine includes some of your pages, you will not be ranked, and the user experience will be quite bad.
two. The product content has no or little text description (common problem: 80%). Most small and medium-sized enterprises product descriptions include a picture and then a few numbers are gone, or a product parameter table is copied directly from Word. It is all numbers. Search engines cannot judge your content keywords from the content of your page. Then how can there be a ranking? It is recommended that you write some relevant product introductions when entering products, which can be about product applications and product features, and then make relevant product recommendations on the product page.
three. The background password is not changed (common failure rate %30). Small and medium-sized enterprise websites are basically made by outsourcing website companies. After they are completed, they will have a default username and password. What will make most webmasters find it incredible is that one-third of companies do not change their default passwords, and more than half of them have website company links at the bottom. As long as someone with some knowledge can find your website company's default password, I won't go into the serious consequences of just giving you a site-wide link to your website. I believe everyone has professional ethics.
Four. There is no news module on the home page (common problem %60). About two-thirds of the corporate homepages do not have a news module. The average homepage is probably a company profile, then a product navigation, and better ones have a product display module for the latest products. This will directly cause your Baidu snapshot to not be updated, and make users not feel like you are a big company.
five. The home page is animated or has buttons in different national languages (common rate %15). This is especially common among websites of companies engaged in foreign trade. Generally, the websites of companies engaged in foreign trade have at least two versions, Chinese and English. Companies that make websites like to do this for their customers. First there is an opening animation, and then after the animation is finished, two buttons appear. One click to enter the Chinese version, and the other click to enter the English version. Not much to say about the harm of this, webmasters all know it.
six. The website is over-optimized (common problem %5). There are many business owners who have received training from some Internet marketing companies, and then they are eager to hire a professional SEO company to build a marketing website. There are two common problems with such websites. There are usually a lot of keywords piled at the bottom of the website, and these keywords are all site-wide. Search engines judge your keywords based on your text content, not you. The keywords are the keywords. The second is that there are too many internal links in the news. Everyone knows the benefits of internal links, but you don’t want to link to all 10 LEDs when there are 10 LED text in an article. It is best to have 3 to 5 keywords. Just have one link appear for each keyword.
seven. Website customer service pop-ups are too rampant (common problem rate %10). Many companies that know something about online marketing usually have customers online. When a customer first enters your website, a dialog box pops up asking if they want help. The customer will usually close it first. If he wants help, he must first check out your website products. Then when he clicks on the product page, another dialog box pops up. dialog box, if a customer is in a bad mood, they will directly close your web page. It is recommended that the content of the website should be well done, and the customer QQ and other information can be placed in an inconspicuous place. If customers like your products, they will take the initiative to contact you.
eight. Friendly links are decorations (common rate 80%). Many companies do not have friendly links, or the friendly links are just a decoration. The above links are one-way links to several large portals or search engine websites. Unless you have strong external link resources, it is generally recommended to exchange some friendly links. This is the key to ranking.
Nine. The homepage title only has the company name (common problem: 80%). If you are not a giant in the industry, it is still recommended to use the title of the homepage, with at least 1-3 keywords of your product. This one is the most promising to be ranked first.
ten. There are no promotion personnel or the promotion personnel are unprofessional (common problem rate 95%). Basically, most companies do not have promoters, or hire some cheap promoters. They only know how to post some posts on some websites, but do not understand the SEO of the website at all. Companies that make physical products have no awareness of independent website online marketing. If there were professional personnel, the nine points above would not exist.
