(1) Open the material file. The following describes how to use various tools in Photoshop CS to implement each step in the example to transform the apple in a real photo into a computer-generated crystal apple effect. Use the [Open] command to open the "Apple original image" in the material, as shown in Figure 80-4.
(2) Extract the apple selection. Select the [Magic Wand Tool] to quickly extract the apple selection and create a new layer, as shown in Figure 80-5.
(3) Preliminarily finalize the apple image. Use the [Brush Tool] to perform outline painting and initially form an apple image, as shown in Figure 80-6.
(4) Create a highlight area. Use the [Pen Tool] to select the highlight area, change the path to a selection, then "feather" the selection and fill it with white to complete the light effect of the crystal apple, as shown in Figure 80-7.
Note: When you double-click a layer, the "Layer Style" dialog box will pop up, allowing you to create layer effects.
(7) Inkjet to create a horizontal surface. Use the [Brush Tool] to spray paint the horizontal plane effect, as shown in Figure 80-10.
(8) Make a copy of the image. Select the [Image] | [Copy] command, as shown in Figure 80-11.
(9) Create a reflection effect. Use the [Transform Tool] and [Add Layer Mask] functions to create a three-dimensional reflection effect, as shown in Figure 80-12 and Figure 80-13.
(10) The entire crystal apple is finished, and the effect is shown in Figure 80-14.
