Insert a table in Dreamweaver. If you set its "Border" to 1, its border line will be thicker when previewing. For web page creators who are not familiar with HTML language, how can they quickly create tables with thin edges? Next, I will introduce you to a little trick - cleverly use background color and spacing to create thin-edge tables.
Take making a table with 4 rows and 3 columns and a thin red border as an example:
Step 1 Insert a table with 4 rows and 3 columns in the design view of Dreamweaver.
Step 2 Set the properties of this table in the "Properties" panel as follows: margin (CellPad) set the value as needed (for example, 10); spacing (CellSpace) is 1; border (Border) is 0; background color (Bg Color) is red.
Step 3 Select all cells in this table, and set the properties of all cells in the "Properties" panel as follows: The background color (Bg) is a color other than white or red.
Finally, save the web page and press F12 to preview it. How about it, is a thin red line table with 4 rows and 3 columns presented in front of you?
In addition, if we want to use tables for layout and positioning as usual, but as long as the outer border lines are displayed as thin lines and the internal cell dividers are not displayed, we can use nested tables together. The following uses the thin red line as the outer border of the table as an example to illustrate the operation method:
Step 1 Insert a table with 1 row and 1 column in the design view of Dreamweaver.
Step 2 Set the properties of this table in the "Properties" panel as follows: "Margin" is set as needed (for example, 5); "Spacing" is 1; "Border" is 0; "Background Color" is red.
Step 3 Select the only cell of this table, and set the "Background Color" of this cell to a color other than white or red in the "Properties" panel.
Step 4 Position the cursor in the table with 1 row and 1 column, and insert a nested table with several rows and columns as needed. The "border" of this nested table must be set to 0, and the "margin" and "spacing" can be Set or not set as needed, other attributes may not be set.
In this way, we can insert text, pictures and other web page elements into different cells of the nested table.
