It has been quite some time since DW4 was released, and many thoughtful new features have excited designers for a long time. One of the more eye-catching ones is the new Assets panel. As a web designer, efficiency is very important. DW4's Asset allows you to uniformly manage the resources of the entire site. This eliminates the pain of repeated searches and exponentially increases efficiency. The new Assets panel of DW4 is a new tool that can manage files according to file types, such as pictures, templates, etc. when editing a website. When you define a new website, all types of components will automatically be added to the appropriate locations in the Asset panel. table frame. When we define a site, all the above types of elements in the site will be automatically classified and displayed in the Assets panel, which is the so-called resource panel. In this Assets panel, you can store your own images, links, Flash videos, color tables, templates, etc. to form the assets of this site. Note that before using the Resource Panel, you must first define the site and generate a site cache file. And if the file size is large, the panel will take a brief time to create the resource list.
Let's take a look at how to use the Assets panel of DW4 to customize your own color table.
First, we click "Window" - "Assets", or press the "F11" key. The Assets panel is opened. The 9 buttons on the left side of the panel classify and manage the elements in your site according to type. When you click a button, the corresponding name will appear at the top of the panel. There are two radio options "site" and "Favoritesg" next to the name. button. Click the color "colors" button, and the words Colors appear at the top of the Assets panel, as shown in Figure 1. There are two options at the top, "Site" and "Favorites". You can use the resource panel as a simple site resource list (Site list) and collect some personal favorite resources as a preference resource list (Favorites list). The operations of the site resource list and the preference resource list are mostly the same. If a color is selected, the color shading and three-color corresponding code (RGB) of the hexadecimal value of this color will be displayed in the upper window. If you want to reduce the number of colors used in your website, you can add only the colors you need in the Favorites area of the Assets panel. Simply highlight the selected color and click the rightmost button at the bottom of the window (called "Add"). to Favorites" button).
In the Site list, you can optionally add colors to the Favorites list. The method is to select a color and click "Add to Favorites" in the lower right corner of the panel, or right-click the selected color and select "Add to Favorites". If you want to apply a certain color, just drag the color directly to the text you have selected, or click "Apply" in the lower left corner of the panel.
In the Favorites list, in addition to the colors transferred from the site color, you can also add new favorite colors at will. The method is to press the "New color" button in the lower right corner, or use the "New color" option with the right mouse button. It doesn't matter if you make a mistake, you can easily delete it by pressing the "Remove from Favorites" button in the lower right corner or the "Remove from Favorites" option with the right mouse button. If you want to apply a certain color, just drag the color directly onto the text you have selected. You can also click "Apply" in the lower left corner of the panel. It also provides a color clip function. You can put the more commonly used or the same type of colors in a color clip that you name for easy search. To add a new color folder, click the "New Favorites Folder" button in the lower right corner, or use the "New Favorites Folder" option with the right mouse button. The deletion method is the same as the color deletion method. At the same time, you can give a nickname to a color you like to replace the original hexadecimal value of the color shade. The method is as simple as ordinary file renaming. You can also change the original color by double-clicking quickly to pop up the selection box. Or press the "Edit" button in the lower right corner.
If you add some colors to some text in the site, don't worry that the color list of the resource panel will not change immediately. Just click the "Refresh Site List" button to refresh the resource list (because the resource list needs to be updated according to the DW's site cache file reads the file list, so it needs to be refreshed to make the resource panel read the information in the cache file again). Similarly, when refreshing resources, the site cache file needs to exist first, and the resource panel will read the cache file information and display it in a list. Manually rebuild the site cache file: Press the mouse "Control" key (Windows operating system) or "Command" key ( Macintosh operating system) click the "Refresh Site List" button at the bottom of the resources panel.
It's really that simple. Okay, let’s start formulating your website colors and continue your web journey. DW4 will make your work easier.
