Source: Siyuan Forum Author: Kevin Dora Dark picture repair is not just about brightening the picture. After roughly brightening, the color of the picture needs to be slowly restored, and the partially darkened parts need to be restored again. Anyway, it just looks natural.
1. Open the original image and copy one layer. Go to Image > Apply Image, Mode: Screen, Opacity: 40%, and the rest are default. Brighten the original image.
2. Load the RGB channel selection, create a new curve adjustment layer, highlight it again, select RGB adjustment, value: 114/150.
3. Create a new color adjustment layer, click Options, and set the parameters as shown below.
4. Create a new optional color adjustment layer and set the parameters as shown below.
5. Return to the layer of the original image, enter the channel panel, hold down the Ctrl key and click the blue channel to load the selection, return to the layer panel, then return to the top layer, create a new optional color adjustment layer, and adjust the cyan. The parameter settings are as shown in the figure below.
6. Load the blue channel selection again, return to the top layer and create a new optional color adjustment layer. The parameter settings are as shown below.
7. Create a new optional color adjustment layer and set the parameters as shown below.
8. Create a new gradient mapping adjustment layer and set the color as shown below. After confirmation, change the layer blending mode to "Screen" and the opacity to: 29%.
9. Stamp the layer, then enter the channel panel, hold down the Ctrl key and click on the red channel to load the selection. Then click on the RGB layer and press Ctrl + C to copy it. Click on the Layers panel, press Ctrl + V to paste, change the blending mode to "Screen" and the opacity to: 38%.
10. Stamp the layer, sharpen it appropriately, and add your favorite text to complete the final effect.
