To use library elements the site must first be set up correctly in DW.
Libraries are designed to make repetitive work faster, easier, and as error-free as possible.
Any element in a web page, whether text or graphics, can be designated as a library element.
Library elements can be placed on any page within the same site without the need to re-enter text or insert images, etc.
Library files can be modified at any time. After editing is completed and saved, DW will update all application web pages at the same time. You can specify whether to update one page or all websites.
Library elements can be converted back into non-library elements. Can be copied from one site to another.
To create a library element
, create a new file, enter the required content, select part (or all) of the elements you want to use as a library, open the Library panel, drag the selected part to the panel, define a name, and a library element is built.
Whenusing library elements
to edit a web page, open the Library panel and drag the required library element to the required location on the web page. The library element will be added and highlighted in yellow.
The original code is displayed as (where top.lbi is my TOP library element):

Modify the library element.
The library element inserted in the web page cannot be modified. If you want to change it, you need to select it in the library panel. Element modification.
The method is: select the element in the library panel, click the OPEN button (or double-click the element), the element will be opened and can be modified at will. When saving, DW will prompt whether to update all web pages that use this element at the same time. Select YES. Update all (you can also choose NO to postpone the update, but don't forget to update).
Delete the library element
.Select the element in the panel, click the DELETE button, and select YES to delete it.
If you accidentally delete an element by mistake, you can select the element in the file where the library element is applied and select the Recreate [sic] button on the properties panel, and DW will automatically use the original library name to re-create the element.
