Case introduction: The color cast effect is very popular in art photography. Nowadays, the color cast effect is also commonly used in post-processing of digital photos. The original photos are processed into grayscale images, and various color cast effect photos are produced according to the expressions and moods of the characters. This example will introduce how to create this color cast in PS.
Case analysis 1. Key points and difficulties Key points: Converting the image to gray and coloring the image are the key points of this example.
Difficulty: Mastering layer masks.
2. Solution Key Solution: Execute the "Channel Mixer" command to convert the image to a gray image, then execute the "Hue/Saturation" or "Color Balance" command to color the image, and add a layer mask.

1. Open the material picture.
2. Create a new mediation layer and make "Channel Mixer" adjustments. (Why not directly remove the color? The grayscale image processed here is better than directly removing the color and copying the channel. You can try it and you will know).
3. Create a new adjustment layer and make "Hue/Saturation" adjustments. Here we can adjust the color we need. Now I am adjusting a color that is more popular in online digital processing.
4. Create a new adjustment layer and make "Brightness/Contrast" adjustments. Why do we do this step? The main reason is to increase the black and white contrast of the picture.
5. Create a new layer, black as layer 1, press and hold "Ctrl", click with the mouse to merge the visible layers, that is, the stamp layer. The stamp layer is to combine the effects we have adjusted into one image. layer and leave other layers unchanged. If you think the effect is not ideal, you can adjust it later.
6. Duplicate the background layer to get a copy of the background, place it on top of layer 1, add a layer mask, use a brush to highlight the characters and flowers (you can learn how to use black, white, and gray color brushes, you can practice more), fill Reduce the quality to 87% so that the background copy blends in better with Layer 1.
7. Effect 1 is out, (this is done using "Hue/Saturation") Next, use "Color Balance" to evaluate the other effects.
8. Duplicate the background layer, get the background copy, and juxtapose it on top of the two background copies.
9. Create a new mediation layer and make "Channel Mixer" adjustments. The benefits of "Channel Mixer" for adjusting grayscale images have been introduced above and will not be repeated here.
10. Create a new adjustment layer and adjust "Color Balance". Applying "Color Balance" to the grayscale image can also achieve the effect of "Hue/Hardness". Why do I need to do the following effect? Mainly because I want to Make friends realize that there are various methods of color grading. As long as we can achieve the effect we need, we must use all means to give full play to the limited functions of PS.
11. Select background copy 1, press "ctrl+a" to select all, press "ctrl+shif+c" to pan, press "ctrl+v" to paste, and get layer 2 above background copy 1 (you can also say Stamp the layer (because I don't quite understand the theory of it yet) and place it on top, reduce the fill quality to 71%, add a layer mask and make small adjustments with the brush tool.
