Let us first take a look at the comparison between after the repair and before the repair.
The difference is very obvious. So what's the problem? Where should we start. First, we need to analyze the original image.
First: the whole picture is dark.
Second: the picture is purple in color.
Third: There are a lot of freckles on the skin.
Fourth: The lower right corner is brighter.
After knowing the above 4 points. We will correct the image based on these points. Let's get started. :)
1. First, we need to increase the brightness of the entire screen, but the lower right corner itself is too bright, so if we want to increase the brightness, we must exclude this part, so we use the lock tool to hook out the lower right corner. Enter Quick Mask. Using the Eraser Tool, use a larger brush with low pressure to soften the selection. As shown in the picture.
2. Exit Quick Mask and execute the inverse selection command (Ctrl+shift+I). Make the current selection look like the picture below: Open the curve tool. Improve the brightness of the picture as a whole, but the lower right corner does not change at this time. It just balances with the brightened image.
3. Next, let’s deal with freckles on the face. This step requires care and patience. In fact, you can get rid of it without these two points. But I'm afraid the effect will be very rough. I use the most common method---the imitation stamp tool. I chose brush number 5. Pressure 80-90.
Carefully remove large freckles. As shown in the picture:
4. Now let’s take a look again. The brightness of the overall picture and the freckles on the face have been improved. But as for the skin, I still feel it's a bit dark and not white enough. As the saying goes, one white can cover three ugliness. If you want to make your girl's photo beautiful, just make it whiter. (But don’t go too far). I used the pen tool to outline the skin, and then the eyes and mouth. Leave only the skin part. Feathering 5. Again, using the Curves tool, increase its brightness. (I love the curve tool)
5. Next we will process the face to make it look smooth and not rough. The method I use is: copy a new layer as the current layer, bring up the selection of the red channel (press Ctrl and click the red channel), and press Ctrl+H to hide the selection. Performs high-end blur in the filter. Blur yourself to see the effect on the skin surface. . After confirmation. Press Ctrl+D. Cancel selection. Add a layer mask to this layer. Use the eraser tool to erase the eyes, mouth, hair, and other detailed areas. There are three points that should be noted at this time. Layer transparency. Brush size. Brush pressure. These three points can be adjusted appropriately by yourself. Don't be too stressed.
6.After all this is done. Basically, the retouching is completed.
7. But here I would also like to introduce the use of the KPT channel surfing filter to complete the high-level blur task in step 5. Because I think it works better. Let's bring our minds back to the end of step 4.
Likewise, copy one layer as the current layer. Execute the channel surfing filter in KPT7. The specific settings are as shown below. After confirmation. Use a mask on the same layer to erase the details, revealing the details on the underlying layer.
Layer mask.
8. I think the skin made with this filter is more delicate and the color is softer. It looks comfortable. When there is a KPT plug-in, I usually use it.
9. In fact, when processing photos, it is a purpose to make the photos look normal in color. . But sometimes we can also process photos to create a mood. A feeling. Maybe it's very off-color, maybe it's low on saturation. Maybe it's just a monochromatic photo. But it has its own artistry. Maybe this is higher photo processing technology, not just processing photos. But creating.
For example, in this photo, imagine this girl’s character based on her expression. Maybe a cheerful, lively, hot person. So we can add yellow to this picture. red. Taste. There is also high contrast. . Wait for some processing. . Make this photo more sexy. . It is more in line with the color of her expression and heart. Take photo processing to a new level.
The final effect after curve adjustment is as shown in the figure:
