Sina Technology News reported at noon on August 29 that in response to Baidu’s large-scale counterattack against 360, which forced the traffic brought by 360 to jump to Baidu’s homepage, 360 responded by removing all Baidu products from the website navigation search box.
Among them, the news search was replaced by 360's own news search from the default Baidu, the MP3 was replaced by Sogou by Baidu, and the map was replaced by Baidu by Google. However, users can still find Baidu related products from the drop-down box.
At around 9 o'clock last night, Baidu launched a raid on 360. When users access Baidu Zhizhi, Encyclopedia, Tieba and other services through 360 comprehensive search, they will be forcibly redirected to the Baidu homepage. However, for a period of time, Baidu handled this service slightly differently under different browsers.
According to feedback received by Sina Technology, Baidu has adopted the above-mentioned forced jump strategy in Firefox, 360 Browser and IE. The Google Chrome browser is not affected.
360 then launched a counterattack. When users use 360 comprehensive search in the 360 browser and click on the search results from Baidu related services, they will be taken directly to the "Web Snapshot" page. (Ai Wen)
