1. After observing the original image, we found that there are many highlight areas. Create a color balance adjustment layer and adjust the highlights. The value is: 37/9/56. After confirming, use a black brush with a transparency of 33% and a flow of 55% to erase the red circle in the picture below on the mask.
2. The dusk under the sunset is not bright enough, so we create a color balance adjustment layer again and adjust the midtones. The value is: 4/0/-7.
3. Remember that the color in the previous tutorial cannot be adjusted at once. Be patient. Here we still create a color balance adjustment layer and adjust the shadow. The value is: 33/0/-37. After confirmation, change the layer blending mode to "Multiply", change the transparency to: about 90%, and then use a mask to erase the selection circled in red in the picture below to make the picture more layered.
4. In order to further achieve the color tone we need, create a new layer and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to stamp the layer. Change the blending mode to "Soft Light" and the opacity to about 30%.
5. This step requires downloading a curve action, click here to download. Once loaded it is ready for use.
6. Create a new layer with fill color: #000066, change the layer blending mode to "Exclude", and change the opacity to: 35%. The effect is as shown below.
7. Create a new layer, stamp the layer, copy the stamped layer, and use the DCE filter to polish it. If you don’t have it, you can download it online.
8. Create an optional color adjustment layer and adjust the green. Value: 100/-100/100/100. If you feel that the green is not full enough, you can copy the current optional color adjustment layer and reduce the opacity appropriately.
9. Create a new layer and stamp the layer. Press Ctrl + Alt + 2 to bring up the highlight selection. After appropriately feathering, press Ctrl + J to copy the selected part of the image to a new layer. Change the blending mode to "Soft Light" and the opacity to: 25%. The effect is as shown below.
