Photoshop brings out the bright tones popular in Japanese and Korean exterior photos

Source: Siyuan Forum Author: Kevin Dora Japanese and Korean tones are deeply loved by many PS fans for their unique visual effects. However, there is no special definition of the color tone of this type of picture. When adjusting colors, just use your feelings to adjust them. Just make sure the picture looks transparent and bright.

1. Open the original image material and double-click to unlock it.
2. Enter the channel panel, select the red channel and press Ctrl + mouse click on the red channel to load the selection. Press Ctrl + C to copy, click RGB, return to the layer panel, create a new layer, press Ctrl + V to paste, change the layer blending mode to "Screen", and change the opacity to: 25%. This step is for Brighten the original image.
3. Load the red channel selection again, follow the same steps as above. After returning to the layer panel, click on the original layer, the background layer, press Ctrl + J to copy a layer, change the layer blending mode to "Overlay", and change the opacity is: 20%. This step is to increase a little contrast, so the opacity value cannot be too large. Different original image values and modes can be modified.
4. Create a curve adjustment layer on the top of the layer and adjust the entire image. The parameter settings are as shown in the lower left of the picture below.

5. Create a color balance adjustment layer and adjust the midtones. The parameter settings are as shown below.
6. Create a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer, appropriately reduce the saturation of the entire image, and set the saturation to: -41.
7. Create a new layer and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to stamp the layer. Execute: Filter > Blur > Box Blur, set the abduction to 10, after confirmation, change the layer blending mode to "Soft Light", change the opacity to: 30%, add a layer mask, and use a black brush to erase the character part come out. In this step, in order to increase the brightness and contrast of the background, the character parts need to be erased.

8. Create a new layer filled with white, change the layer blending mode to "Soft Light", and change the opacity to: 42%.
9. Create a new gradient mapping adjustment layer and set the color as shown in the picture below. After confirmation, change the layer blending mode to "Screen" and the opacity to: 21%.
10. Create a new layer to stamp the layer, and sharpen the layer appropriately.

Finally, add borders and decorative text to complete the final effect.
