Cold and hard iron plates can be transformed into a unique relief effect through hammering, chisel and other tools, as well as polishing, burning and other methods. Next we will use Photoshop CS to create such an iron plate effect.
Let’s take a look at the effect first:

Production process:
1. Create a new file, select the "Line Tool" in the toolbox, click the small triangle button on the right side of the custom shape in its property bar, and set the pop-up dialog box as shown in Figure 01 Display, set the thickness to 2.
2. Switch to the channel panel, create a new channel Alpha 1, set the foreground color to white, use the straight line tool and hold down the Shift key while drawing two-way arrows without a straight line in the middle in the horizontal and vertical directions, as shown in Figure 02.
3. Press the Ctrl+T keys to bring up the free transformation control box, hold down the Shift key to rotate the image 45° counterclockwise, confirm the operation, and get the effect as shown in Figure 03.
4. Select the "Rectangular Marquee Tool" in the toolbox and draw a rectangular selection along the edges of the two double-headed arrows to select it, as shown in Figure 04. Select the "Edit" and "Define Pattern" commands in the menu bar. Click the "OK" button in the pop-up dialog box to define the image in the selection as a pattern.
5. Cancel the selection. Select the "Edit" and "Fill" commands in the menu bar, set the pop-up dialog box as shown in Figure 05, and get the effect as shown in Figure 06.
6. Switch to the Layers panel, create a new layer "Layer 1", set the foreground color to white, and press Alt+Delete to fill the layer. Select the "Filter", "Rendering" and "Lighting Effect" commands in the menu bar, set the pop-up dialog box as shown in Figure 07, and get the effect as shown in Figure 08.
7. Switch to the channel panel, create a new channel Alpha 2, select the "Filter" "Noise" "Add Noise" command in the menu bar, and the dialog box that pops up is shown in Figure 09. Select the "Filter", "Blur" and "Motion Blur" commands in the menu bar, set the pop-up dialog box as shown in Figure 10, and get the effect as shown in Figure 11.
8. Switch to the Layers Panel, create a new layer "Layer 2", set the foreground color to white, and press Alt+Delete to fill the layer.
9. Select the "Filter", "Rendering" and "Lighting Effect" commands in the menu bar, and the dialog box that pops up is shown in Figure 12, and the effect is shown in Figure 13. Set the blending mode of layer 2 to "Overlay" to get the effect shown in Figure 14.
10. Switch to the channel panel, create a new channel Alpha 3, press the D key to restore the foreground and background colors to the default black and white, hold down the Alt key and select the "Filter", "Rendering" and "Clouds" commands, and the effect will be as shown below 15 shown.
11. Press the Ctrl key and click Alpha 3 to bring up the selection, switch to the layer palette, create a new layer "Layer 2", set the foreground color RGB to 92, 42, and 5 respectively, fill the selection, and set the color of layer 3. The blending mode is "Overlay" and the effect is shown in Figure 16.
12. Press Ctrl+A to perform the Select All operation, select any visible layer, press Ctrl+Shift+C to perform the "Merge Copy" operation, and press Ctrl+V to perform the "Paste" operation to obtain layer 4. It is placed above all layers.
13. Select the "Filter", "Rendering" and "Lighting Effect" commands in the menu bar, and set the pop-up dialog box as shown in Figure 17. The final effect is shown in Figure 18.
