Recently I saw a poster for the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" with a very innovative design. Let's draw one with Photoshop.
Let’s take a look at the effect first:
Create a new layer and use the pen tool to outline the main body of the shoe and the center axis of the heel.
Next outline the outer border of the shoe. The heel is a small fork.
First, lay black and dark red on the frame and the main part of the shoe.
Then draw the shaded part of the sole and the middle of the shoe. The way to draw the shadow above is to use a pen to outline the shadow, convert it to a selection, and then fill it with gradient.
The upper part of the shoe is brightened with vermilion
The following is a highlight. The painting method is the same as the shadow part. The light and dark intersection line on the left side of the highlight can be erased with the eraser tool by appropriately lowering the opacity to make the transition more natural.
Outline the two reflective lines near the upper.
Create a new layer and add a vermilion transition color on the left side of the upper highlight to highlight the three-dimensional effect.
Finally, trace some shadow slightly under the fork.
Final effect:
