At the end of Main Quest 10: Forging Destiny, the Rebel Soul can talk to Durin on Nidavellir Beach in Svartalfheim after obtaining the Spear of Drapnir and completing Forging Destiny. He will stand next to the Mysterious Door.
Alternatively, if you did not accept the quest on your way out of quest 10, you can still find Dulin in a house in the town of Nidavellir after the story ends and accept his favor:

Head to Dragon Beach in Bounty Bay.
There will be 3 geysers around the beach that you can freeze. There are totems behind them that can be destroyed to open a Nornier chest.
There is also a rune reading next to the chest. Climb the chain and head to the bridge.
Climb under the fallen pillar to find a Yggdrasil Rift.
Continue to the rune tablet and use it, then read the rune word to move the hammer.
Open the chest behind it to get the hammer.

Go to Nidavellir's tavern and speak with Durin.
