According to news on November 7, Microsoft launched the Notepad software and now adds an AI text editing function called "Rewrite" to it, which can be previewed in Windows Insiders. Rewrite allows users to "rewrite sentences, adjust tone, and modify content length" through AI. Users can use this feature by right-clicking the selected text and selecting Rewrite. Notepad will provide three rewritten versions for users to choose to replace. In addition, Microsoft is allowing Insiders to test new AI image editing tools in Paint, including the Generative Fill feature that adds images based on prompts and the Generative Erase feature that removes parts of an image and blends white areas. The Rewrite function requires users to log in to a Microsoft account. It is currently only available in preview in the United States, France, United Kingdom, Canada, Italy and Germany in Windows 11.
