Gong Weijie, Deputy Secretary-General of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China, Li Shengbo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Permanent Professor of the School of Vehicles and Transport of Tsinghua University, Dr. Hu Wenhao of the Recall Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Professor Xue Jianru, Director of the Academic Committee of the School of Artificial Intelligence of Xi'an Jiaotong University and other leading experts, More than 70 representatives from universities, research institutions, vehicle companies, smart driving companies, technology companies and operators attended the meeting. The Artificial Intelligence Branch (in preparation) is a subsidiary branch of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China, and its affiliated unit is Guoqi (Beijing) Intelligent Connected Vehicle Research Institute Co., Ltd. The branch is planned to be chaired by Li Shengbo, secretary of the Party Committee and tenured professor of the School of Vehicles and Transport of Tsinghua University, and Guo Lei, general manager of China Automobile (Beijing) Intelligent Connected Vehicle Research Institute Co., Ltd., as the secretary-general.
Professor Li Shengbo pointed out in his speech that the rapid development of generative artificial intelligence technology represented by deep neural networks has caused profound changes in the automotive industry. The automotive field also requires high-quality professional data support, large-scale cluster computing power layout, and dedicated domain neural networks Model design and development of training algorithms and tool chains. Chen Guihua, the proposed deputy secretary-general of the branch and director of the Standards and Consulting Department of the Society's Intelligent Center, introduced the preparations for the branch in detail from the background and necessity of its establishment, preparation progress, work goals, work plans, etc. It is proposed that the overall goal of the branch's work is to promote the solution of the shortcomings of my country's automobile industry in artificial intelligence and promote the application of artificial intelligence in the automotive field.
