This adjustment aims to improve the efficiency of intelligent driving technology research and development, strengthen the capabilities of the delivery team, and ensure efficient delivery of solutions.
In this adjustment, Ren Shaoqing, the head of NIO Intelligent Driving, will directly lead the large model department. This department was previously led by Peng Chao, the head of perception algorithm, and reported to Ren Shaoqing. After the adjustment, the persons in charge of key areas including parking plans, data closed-loop plans and other key areas will report directly to Ren Shaoqing, further strengthening departmental collaboration and execution efficiency.
NIO’s Intelligent Driving Platform Department includes the Large Model Department, Deployment Architecture and Program Department, and System Department. It is reported that this adjustment is aimed at optimizing the organizational structure to better match the large-scale intelligent driving technology architecture, thereby improving research and development efficiency and delivery speed. The adjusted structure will provide unified mid-stage capability support for NIO's main brand "NIO", sub-brand "Ledao", and new brand "Firefly".
