LinkedIn recently launched a series of new features based on artificial intelligence to improve users’ job search experience. These features are primarily available to Premium subscribers, with the first batch available in English. New features include intelligent job search, resume optimization suggestions, and even AI-driven cover letter writing assistance, significantly improving job search efficiency. LinkedIn also plans to use generative artificial intelligence to improve the platform’s search capabilities and further enhance the user experience. These initiatives reflect LinkedIn’s determination to use AI technology to optimize user services, and also herald changes in future job hunting methods.
One tool allows users to search for jobs on LinkedIn through natural language input prompts. For example, "Find me a remote marketing job in Detroit that pays at least $110,000." This search method promises to be an effective way to find potential job opportunities.
Another feature can review your resume and provide personalized recommendations for specific positions. Users can upload resumes, get feedback, and edit them interactively with artificial intelligence. Additionally, there’s a tool that helps you write a cover letter from scratch using artificial intelligence.
These features are in addition to other artificial intelligence features that LinkedIn began testing late last year and are only available to premium subscribers. In addition, LinkedIn has also begun piloting artificial intelligence characters with several experts, with whom users can talk and learn more about business. Tomer Cohen, LinkedIn's chief product officer, said the responses users will receive are trained by experts and represent personalized insights that meet the unique needs of each learner.
Additionally, LinkedIn promised to broadly improve the platform’s search capabilities through generative artificial intelligence, although specific details were not revealed. “With our new search capabilities, every search interaction gets smarter — whether you’re finding people, exploring jobs, making connections, or seeking knowledge and answers,” said Cohen, who promised that search enhancements will be coming “ " coming in the coming weeks."
All in all, these new artificial intelligence features of LinkedIn provide users with a smarter and more efficient job search and learning experience, and it is worth looking forward to its further application and improvement in the future.
