Ubisoft announced the future of the Assassin's Creed series in September 2022, revealing four games in development, including: Vision, Red, Hexe, and Jade. A month later, Ubisoft announced an Assassin's Creed multiplayer game Project Invictus, plus the yet-to-be-announced VR game Project Nexus, brings a total of six Assassin's Creed games in development.
Now, according to Insider Gaming sources, Ubisoft has four Assassin's Creed games in the concept and prototype stages, including the already rumored Project Nexus 2, as well as three other games codenamed Nebula, Raid, and Echoes. They are developed by different studios and have completely different styles from their predecessors.
The game codenamed Nebula was developed by Ubisoft Sofia Studio, who have developed "Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation" and "Assassin's Creed: Rogue", and Nebula is a game with three different background settings: India, Afghanistan. The Ztec Empire and the Mediterranean.
Codenamed Raid is developed by Ubisoft Chengdu Studio and is a free four-player cooperative PvE game. All characters in the game are from the Assassin's Creed universe.
Finally, Splinter Cell multiplayer developer Ubisoft Annecy and The Division series developer Ubisoft Massive will jointly develop an Assassin's Creed game codenamed Echoes, which is described as using Ubisoft's technology. Multiplayer game based on Bea Scalar technology.
In addition, sources revealed the planned release time of these Assassin's Creed games. "Assassin's Creed: Vision" is planned to be released around August this year, followed by "Assassin's Creed Nexus" planned to be released in 2023, and "Assassin's Creed Red" planned to be released in 2024. "Assassin's Creed Invictus" is planned for 2025, and "Assassin's Creed Hexe" is planned for 2026. However, the release dates of the next three prototype games Nebula, Raid and Echoes are not yet clear.
