There are very few formal documents about Google search engine on the Internet. Most of the materials and information about Google search engine optimization are shared by personal experiences, and the articles contain wrong information. Therefore, I suggest that everyone who is doing website optimization should take a good look at this rare Google web page quality evaluation manual.
Let me briefly explain some of the main contents of this assessment manual:
Google divides searches into 3 types:
Navigational: Refers to websites that people already know where to go, such as searching for IBM.
Informational: Refers to people being interested in a certain topic and wanting to know more related information. For example, search for a person's name to learn more about that person.
Transaction: Refers to someone who wants to buy or download something, and searches to determine where to buy it, etc. For example, search for "buy ipod touch."
Google's classification of the assessment of webpage quality for a certain keyword:
Vital: This is the highest standard of web page quality. Vital's web page is usually the official website of a company or individual. For example, if you search for "IBM", www.ibm.com is the vital web page.
Useful: This is the second highest standard web page. Useful web pages refer to web pages that correctly answer query questions. I think this is why Wikipedia always ranks very high in many searches.
Relevant: This is the median rating. Relevant is given to web pages that provide some relevant information, but the information is not comprehensive enough and is not authoritative. I feel like most of the nets on my blog fall into this category as well.
Not Relevant: This refers to those web pages that are basically useless, but have some connection with the query keywords. For example, the content of the web page is outdated, only suitable for a small area, etc.
Off-Topic: This refers to pages that are completely unrelated to the search. For example, if you search for "hot dog", the result is dog house.
Spam Labels:
Not Spam: The Not Spam label is given to web pages that do not use deceptive web design techniques.
Maybe Spam: This tag is given to web pages that may be spammy, but are not 100% certain.
Spam: This label is given to web pages that violate Google webmaster guidelines.
