"Season of the Pandemic" will be available on July 21st, and we would like to take a moment to let you know the relevant information about this season.
To participate in a season, a new character must be created in the season realm. There is no need to purchase a battle pass or any add-ons to play seasonal content, but you must complete story missions with at least one character in Eternal Realm or Seasonal Realm. After completing the story mission, any season character can play the game in the following ways:
Choose to skip the story mission.
The mount can be used immediately.
Unlock all previously discovered Altars of Lilith and unlock the corresponding fame.
Reveals all previously discovered areas on the map and unlocks corresponding fame.
After the season ends, the characters you created and your progress will be transferred to the Eternal Realm. All items you collect will also be transferred, including your Season Stash. You can bring this character into Sanctuary at any time, but season-specific features (such as the Plague Heart, etc.) will no longer be available.
After July 18, we strongly recommend that you log into Diablo IV using your most advanced Eternal Realm character. In this way, you can ensure that your progress in the story missions, the maps you have explored, and the unlocked Altar of Lilith can be carried from the Eternal Realm character to your newly created Seasonal Realm character.
