SamsungPhone software. Recently, Samsung announced the launch of a software called SamsungPhone, which can help users answer incoming calls from Galaxy mobile phones on their computers, thereby further enhancing the interconnection of the Samsung ecosystem.
Before the upcoming release of the Galaxy Book 4 series of laptops, which feature seamless collaboration with the Samsung ecosystem, Samsung quietly launched a new Windows app called "SamsungPhone" on the Microsoft App Store to further enhance the interconnection of the Samsung ecosystem.
The Galaxy Book 4 series includes four models, ranging from entry-level models equipped with Intel's new Core Ultra chip to integrated Nvidia RTX 4070 graphics processors. The series was just released this month, and the official release date is expected to be in January next year.
The SamsungPhone app allows users to answer incoming calls from Samsung Galaxy phones on a Windows PC. When a connected Galaxy phone receives an incoming call, the app will plug it in, allowing users to answer it directly on their PC.
Judging from the app description, SamsungPhone seems to only work with Galaxy devices, but it's not only compatible with the Galaxy Book 4. Application information indicates that the Galaxy Book 4 and other later Intel processor-based PCs can support this feature. Foreign media tried to install the application on a desktop computer based on an AMD processor, but as expected, the application failed to start normally after the installation was completed.
Currently, the new “SamsungPhone” Windows app is already available for download in the Microsoft App Store. However, if you want to use it, users still need to wait until the Galaxy Book 4 is officially released. Although the specific release date has not yet been announced, it is expected to be in January next year.
