Prosedur tersimpan [dbo].[USP_InsertBook]
agak rumit karena tidak hanya membuat buku. Jika tidak ada penerbit atau penulis yang terkait dengan buku baru tersebut, hal ini juga membantu pengguna untuk membuatnya. Itu sebabnya parameter @pub_id
dan @author_id
dari prosedur tersimpan [dbo].[USP_InsertBook]
bersifat opsional. Jika pengguna memilih penerbit atau penulis yang ada dari elemen menu tarik-turun di aplikasi front-end, nilai yang dipilih dari opsi yang dipilih, dalam bentuk @pub_id
atau @author_id
, diteruskan ke prosedur tersimpan. Jika penulis atau penerbit buku baru tidak ditemukan di menu tarik-turun (atau database), aplikasi akan memudahkan pembuatannya. Menggunakan opsi terakhir Create New Author...
dan Create New Publisher...
pada menu tarik-turun, pengguna dapat membuat penulis atau penerbit baru. Juga sebuah buku mungkin memiliki prekuel atau tidak. Jadi dengan mempertimbangkan semua ini, ada 4 kemungkinan skenario pembuatan buku.

dan biaya buku ditambahkan ke saldo kartu. Akhirnya salinan tersebut dapat dihapus dari inventaris salinan cabang saat ini dan disimpan dalam file riwayat.
