This tutorial introduces how to colorize photos of people that are a bit gray. When processing, first make the whole thing clearer, and then refine the character parts. The color can be adjusted to different colors according to your own preferences.

1. Open the original image material, press Ctrl + J to copy the background layer, change the layer blending mode to "Multiply", and change the layer opacity to: 80%, the effect is as shown in Figure 1.

2. Create a channel mixer adjustment layer. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 2-4, and the effect is as shown in Figure 5.

3. Create a curve adjustment layer. Set the parameters as shown in Figure 6. After confirming, use a black brush to erase the character part. The effect is as shown in Figure 7.

4. Create a new layer, press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to stamp the layer, press Ctrl + Shift + U to remove the color, then change the layer blending mode to "Hard Light" and the layer opacity to: 30 %, the effect is shown in Figure 8.

5. Create a new layer, stamp the layer, and execute: Image > Apply Image. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 9, and the effect is as shown in Figure 10.
