Many readers liked the last article about the Batman logo. This time we will come up with an enhanced version~ We will use some of the ideas from last time, but the effect is much more powerful! Let’s take a look at the effect first~~~
Enhanced version renderings
The last rendering
Let’s start making:
1. You still need to create a new canvas~~fill it with gradient. A radial gradient from #3d3b3c to #0e0d11 is used here! (I won’t explain the detailed operation here. If you don’t know how to draw a radial gradient, you can refer to the relevant information~~~)

2. Drag in a material background picture~~~
Change the blending mode of the footage to Color Dodge. Fill adjusted to 30%
Figure 2
3. Find another picture here and drag it into the canvas. Change the Blending Mode to Linear Burn and the Fill to 10%.

4. Outline an icon of the Batman logo. Or simply go to the search engine to search for one, and just click on the color!
Here we use the pen tool to outline one to see the effect (fill gray #878787):

5. Let’s start adding effects! Bevel and relief, set as follows:
Figure 5
Stroke: The settings are as follows, where the color of the filled gradient stroke is #949494 on the left and #464546 on the right.

The effect after confirmation is as follows:

6. Duplicate the bat layer (note that the copied layer has a layer style), and name the new layer the bat logo. Hide the original bat layer, you don’t need it anymore!
Create a new layer and merge the new layer with the bat logo layer. Tip: The purpose of merging is to make the layer style we just added pixelated. After merging, the layer style cannot be modified~~.
Use the Burn Tool, set the Range to Midtones, Exposure to 30%, choose a smaller soft-edged brush, and add a shadow effect to the inside of the bat logo without using too much.
The effect we produced is as follows:
Tip: It’s best to copy a new bat logo layer here to operate! Prevent mistakes, and the benefit of duplicating a new layer is that you can try it multiple times.

7. Use the dodge tool again, select Highlight in the range, and select 35% in the exposure to add some metallic feeling around the bat wings.
Figure 9
8. Continue to use the burn tool, set the range to midtones, the exposure to 30%, and add some shadows to the middle part of the bat logo.
Figure 10
9. Continue to add layer styles. First make sure that all the effects you applied above are in one layer (if you copied the effect to a new layer, please merge the layers). Inner shadow (color #e6b2b2, actually the color is not important here):

Inner Glow: Color #4d4d35

After clicking OK, you will see the following effect:
