1. Open the original image, select 50% of the smear tool and start smearing the character’s hair, smoothing the hair slightly.
2. Then set the brush pixel to 1 and use the pen tool to outline the path of the hair, then select the stroke path and check simulate pressure. If there are many hair strands, you can hook a few more paths and hold down Ctrl + Alt to copy. The hair strands can be made separately in white and black.
3. Create a new blank layer and use a 7% white brush to paint on the highlight part of the character’s face to enhance the highlight of the face. The effect is as shown below.
4. Download a pattern brush, add patterns to the character’s face, and then adjust the transparency appropriately. The effect is as shown below.
5. Select brush No. 24, set the foreground color to white, create a new layer and add highlights on the character’s eyes.
