1. Open the highway picture in the material package.
This step creates a magical atmosphere by changing the tones of the sky and distant mountains beyond the road.
(1) On the background layer, create a new layer 1.
(2) Select the pen tool on the toolbox and click the "Path" button on the control bar to make a selection of the sky and distant mountains. As shown in the picture:
(3) Set the foreground color #FF7200 and the background color #F5CB08.
(4) Convert the path into a selection (ctrl+Enter), execute Filter--Render--Clouds. And change the layer mode of layer 1 to Linear Burn. And rename the layer: Sky.
(5) Stamp the scene (ctrl+alt+shift+E) and name it "Scene".
(6) Save the file and name it "Snail on the Highway" (optional).
After the atmosphere of the sky is created, add the snails.
2. Next we process the snail to integrate it into the scene.
(1) Open the snail (1.jpg) picture and use the pen tool to cut it out. Ctrl+Enter to call the selection area, ctrl+j to copy the content in the selection area.
(2) Execute Image-Adjustment-Match Color.
(3) Select the move tool and drag the snail with the matched color on layer 1 into the road scene. At this time you will find that the snail is much larger than the scene. Use the Free Transform Tool (ctrl+T) and hold down the shift+alt keys to scale proportionally. Press Enter to submit. The final size and position are as shown below:
(4) Continue to adjust the snail. Execute: Image-Adjustments-Auto Levels. Continue to: Image—Adjustments—Brightness and Contrast. The effect is as follows:
(5) Duplicate the snail layer, name it Shadow 1, import the selection, and fill it with black. Move the shadow 1 layer below the snail layer, transform it freely, and change the size of the snail's shadow.
(6) Execute Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur for Shadow 1.
3. Make the traces left by snails.
(1) Create a new layer 1 on the scene layer, use the multi-edge tool to draw a selection as shown in the figure, fill it with black, and change the layer mode to Overlay. (Note the perspective of the object). Perform Gaussian blur.
