The imitation hand-painted effect is very popular nowadays. The clean picture and distinctive characters are the attractive features of this effect. It is best for beginners to choose pictures with clear characters. This makes it easy to get started.

1. Open the original image material and grind the skin first. Press Ctrl + J to copy the background layer. On the copy, execute: Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur, the value is 4. After confirming, hold down the Alt key and add a layer mask, and then use a white brush (select Soft for the brush) Use a round brush with an opacity of about 50% to paint the colorful parts of the character's face. The effect is as shown below.

2. Create a new layer, press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to stamp the layer, use the smear tool, choose a brush with more small dots, the pressure is: about 50%, smear along the hair, and make the hair slightly Apply smoothly.
Let’s deal with messy hair and dark circles. As shown in Figure 2, the red circle position is the part to be processed. First use a straw to absorb the clean skin color nearby, then select the brush tool, the brush opacity is: 5%, and apply the part that needs to be removed. Use even pressure when applying. The effect is shown in Figure 3.

3. To process the mouth, select the smear tool, choose a soft-edged round brush, and the pressure level is about 20%. Apply the paint evenly on the mouth, as shown in Figure 4.
Create a new layer, change the layer blending mode to "Soft Light", change the layer opacity to: 50%, set the foreground color to: #F80505, use a brush to paint the lips, the effect is as shown in Figure 5.

4. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the outline path of the character's face, press Ctrl + Enter to turn it into a selection, and then select the menu: Edit > Stroke. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 7. After confirmation, cancel the selection and remove the layer. Change the transparency to: 20%, add a layer mask, use a black brush to erase the excess, and use the same method to outline the mouth and nose. The effect is as shown in Figure 8.

5. Production of double eyelids. There are many tutorials saying this. Here I will briefly introduce it. Select the brush tool, set the brush size to 2 pixels, and set the foreground color to black. Use the pen tool to outline the path shown in Figure 9, right-click and select Path Stroke, and select the brush. You can uncheck simulate pressure. After confirmation, execute: Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur, the value is 0.5, use the same method to select other paths as shown in Figure 10, and the effect is as shown in Figure 11. The effect is a bit scary, mainly because the eyeball part is not done yet and will be dealt with later.

6. Use the same method to process the right eye. You can also copy the double eyelid of the left eye and add a layer mask to modify it appropriately, as shown in Figure 12.
