The coloring method of the tutorial is very classic, with blue and purple as the main colors. First use the color adjustment tool to adjust the blue color, and then use some selections to add purple to parts of the character. The overall feeling is very modern art.

1. Open the original image material. The first step is to select the background: create a new layer, fill it with yellow, and name it the yellow layer. See the figure below for details:
2. Now, copy the background layer and select Image-Adjustments-Threshold-Threshold Levels 60. The effect is as shown below:
3. Use the magic wand to click on the black part and fill it with dark purple; then invert the selection to eliminate the white part in the picture. The layer mode is Hue. See the picture below for details:
4. On the background layer, select Image-Adjustments-Hue Saturation (Hue: 180, Saturation: 71, Lightness: -38), the effect is as shown below:
5. Now change to the color I want, select Layer-Merge Images, and merge the three layers into one. Then choose Image-Adjustments-Shadows/Highlights (Shadows: 50%, Highlights: 0%).
