Webmaster, what should we do? Is there a correct path? Through some of my experiences, I would like to put forward some small opinions to encourage all webmasters:
1. Goal
First of all, you need to know what you are doing with your website, and what is the main purpose. Start a business for hobbies or to make money. My goal in building a website is to make money. I hope to accumulate a certain amount of capital through the Internet, make it bigger, and go further. If you want to make money through the Internet, then your life may be very difficult.
2. Direction
You need to find a direction, which is what planners often call "positioning." To put it more simply, what kind of project do you want to do and what kind of website do you want to build? I haven't already said how to find a position. Everyone has different visions. In fact, it is precisely because of different interests and visions that various websites are presented to netizens. What I want to say is: Once you have a direction, what you need most is persistence! If you stay in a certain direction for a long time, you will feel very tired and even lose confidence in your direction. What I want to say is, unless you really find a better and more promising project, or really think that this direction has no future. Otherwise don't give up easily. In fact, websites in every direction can be built. As long as the website can meet the needs of netizens, there is a reason to exist and a market.
3. Have a plan.
The time in front of the computer really flies by. Sometimes a day passes by looking at this and that without doing anything. I used to work for a foreign company, but then I felt it was boring and I couldn't find my own freedom. After I resigned, I stayed at home every day without going out. Half a year has passed in the blink of an eye, and there is still not much achievement.
So you must make a plan for yourself, what kind of goal you will achieve in the long term, and be specific about what you will do today and what you will do tomorrow. Otherwise, time will really pass by silently, making people decadent.
4. The way out of the website
If you want to make your website bigger, you must find a way for him to succeed. Is it through continuous publicity and promotion to obtain greater traffic, bring more income, further investment and operations? Or is it to sell after achieving a certain amount of traffic? In fact, when the traffic of the website reaches a certain level, many business opportunities have already happened to you. Analyze your traffic sources, analyze their needs, and better meet their needs. Your site will get further development. What you have to do is make your site more valuable.
5. Team problems
Many personal website teams consist of 1-2 people. If you want to build your website into a business, a team is essential. Or, you make your website very famous to attract like-minded friends to join, or your website brings you enough profits and you can recruit the talents the website needs. I highly recommend everyone to get to know more webmasters who work on various websites and become friends. Maybe putting your resources together will produce benefits you can't imagine.
6. Investment
Personally, I feel that projects that require a lot of investment are not necessarily the best projects. If you must invest, use the money where it is needed most to bring the greatest effect to your website. I am against saving face and doing useless things. This should be pragmatic and cautious. Don't blindly invest in upgrading servers, upgrading bandwidth, and renting employees without even understanding the direction of a site. You must know exactly what you are doing.
